"Last minute stop"
The room is misrepresented. I do not feel that this is a two star hotel. The room was dirty and the hotel is aged. It was clean enough to sleep but this hotel is over priced for the condition it is in. The only reason I stayed was because it was late, raining and I had drove for 7 hours in the rain from St. Louis. I was very disappointed in what I paid […] for what I received. If it were priced correctly at about half of what I paid I would have been alright with it. Lisez la suite
"The Ridge Hotel"
The Ridge Hotel is not a hotel at all. It's a "Motor Inn." The place was very old and not well kept. The room I booked was dirty and had a large brown stain next to the bed. Not a nice place to stay.
"There are better options in Portage"
This hotel desperately needs to be updated. This place is exactly the same as it was 25 years ago. The carpet, chairs and bed have not been updated. Bed was uncomfortable, carpet was filthy and the hotel was not secured to the outside. I would not stay here again.
"Ridge - Easy access to the area"
The Ridge was a clean, quiet and comfortable hotel that very easy to find. Lots of restaurants nearby. Would easily recommend to others.

Just went there for an over-night stay. It's okay if you are looking for a no-frills hotel.

"A Nice Place to be."
This was a very nice Motor Lodge in a very nice small town. The staff was attentive and the price was right. The room was large, airy and bright. Highly recommend this place.
"This hotel is over priced.........."
Because this is a older hotel and out of the way, it was way over priced. It was clean enough and the staff were helpful at check in and check out but I will not stay there again.
"Not very modern, but overall a great stay"
We have dined in the restaurant (Dino's) at the Ridge for years and love the food and the staff. Dino and Nick are wonderful. On our most recent visit to Wisconsin we had to make accomodations rather than stay with family so we decided to try the Ridge. Very friendly, very clean, very comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave in the room were a nice […] touch as well as the complimentary coffee/tea available all day/night. We saw families on vacation, truckers passing through, some that appeared to be staying short term while on a local job site; a great affordable place for everyone. It's not fancy. It's not modern. If you want food from the restaurant (recommended) you either eat there or carry it out. Otherwise, there are plenty of options. Lisez la suite
