Belle situation, belle déco mais vraiment pas idéal pour DORMIR! Lit dur, obscurité trés relative, clim bruyante et surtout pas d'insonorisation avec la rue pleine de joyeux fêtard TOUTE LA NUIT!

Dans l'ensemble l'hôtel est bien et l'accueil chalereux. Cependant, le confort y est relatif. En effet, le confort des lits est plus que moyen. Les matelas dont les ressorts sont peu confortables sont posés sur des plaques de bois. Il n'y a pas de sommier. C'est donc dire si le confort est... moyen... En plein coeur du quartier gothic, de la cathédrale et des commerces, c'est parfait. La contrepartie est le bruit de voix provenant de la rue à toute heure (absence de double vitrage). Pensez aux bouchons d'oreille ! Studio confortable et bien équipé, très propre et spacieux.

Tout à fait convenable pour personnes cherchant un studio bien situé. Attention ! certains des immeubles n'ont pas d'ascenseur. Impossible de monter au 3ème ou 4ème par un escalier en colimaçon si vous n'êtes pas en pleine forme !

Fantastic location! You can walk to everything Picasso museum, Dali studio museum, cathedral of Barcelona, la rambla, el born ( our favorite). Also on the list is casa mila and all things gaudi. We were very disappointed with this hotel. There were three of us staying in what we thought was going to be a one bedroom suite. Upon arrival we were surprised to be sharing one room with a cot for the third guest with us. The cot was extremely uncomfortable, and broke on the first night. Really a great hotel, fantastic rooms, great service from hotel staff and superb location - simply a must try in Barcelona, in the best part of the Gothic quarter.

We really enjoyed staying here. The location was great, the staff was very helpful and accommodating. The only drawback was parking, since we had a car with us. Parking garage was expensive, but overall was worth it.

The price is right for a room here...it is in a good location close to the Metro and within walking distance of most of Barcelona's historical sites, markets and the sea. The room itself is comfortable and functional but not luxurious. We were able to prepare basic meals in the kitchenette, saving a few dollars. The Juan was conveniently situated near shops and only 5 minutes walk from the main strip, the complimentary internet was a added bonus. Our room was recently refurbished to a high standard and had everything you would need a little bit to small for 3 adults but very tidy.

The locatio of the apartment is great. But they have terrible customer service. Two of my chargers exlploded while I was trying to charge my Iphone, and they refused to refund one of my charger. They said it was my fault, but I did not have any problems with my charger in Spain and one of the charger was the real apple charger. Be really careful with […] your electronics in this apartment. I stayed two nights in Apartments in Barcelona Gothic- Jaume I with my sister and wished we could have stayed longer! The apartment's location is GREAT, very safe and close to everything. The staff were also great and very informative. We loved the room, perfect size for us two complete with everything one would need (everything for cooking in a small […] kitchen), very nice bathroom, plus had a great little balcony!!! My wife and I (both in our late 40's) stayed here for 4 nights. While it is true that the aparment does not have a lift, the staff did carry our bags up to the apartment. We rather liked the character that the stairway had. The location is outstanding, in the center of the Gothic quarter and with the tube just a couple of blocks away. We arrived in Barcelona at 7:00 am. We were able to leave our luggage at the front desk and enjoy begin our vacation. The hotel is central close to subways to Cathedral, Ramblas and a few subway stops from La Familia Sagrada. The staff was very friendly and attive to our needs. The best part about this hotel was its convenient location, half a block from the Jaume I metro station in the Gothic quarter. Another plus was the relatively large room with kitchenette, roomy enough for two adults and a teenager. This was unit #8 on the 4th floor. Other rooms might be different sizes. Some people have complained about a difficult […] staircase and lack of an elevator. My room, at least, was served by an elevator, so I didn't use the stairs. Not sure whether all rooms can be accessed by elevator. The biggest drawback was noise. Each evening around midnight, garbage and street cleaning trucks came through. It sounded like they were in the room with me! Also, loud people in the streets and bars near the hotel could be heard well past midnight, even on weeknights. The staff were really helpful. Our arrival was delayed but they held the room for a day and then stayed late to enable us to check in. Excellent shower. Very narrow and steep stairs to get up to the studio apartment.

It takes 5 flights of stairs to reach our '3rd' floor room. It was a nightmare to navigate the single person spiral stairs with a backpack and a suitcase.

I found a bit over-priced but location was golden. It is right in downtown location with tons of great cafes and shps around. Only complaint is the deadly spiral staircase. Apartment was at excellent location and friendliest people who were running the place, specially Dee Dee.

Best points first. The staff was lovely. They did everything they could to accommodate me even allowing for an early check in, arranging a taxi and always pleasant. The building is in a busy neighbourhood in the evenings but as soon as I closed the windows, I heard no noise from the street. While I was there over a period of 48 hrs, the elevator worked […] twice, the wifi worked "most" of the time, the AC worked at two speeds-on or off. The bathroom towels had brown stains of them in the corners (?????). The toilet was really weird. I'm 5'6" and had a hard time sitting on it. My feet dangled about 3" above the floor. I had to jump off. For any wise crackers, it was not the sink-lol. The ever pervasive scent of mildew was everywhere in the Gothic district so I wasn't surprised when my room smelled like it. I stayed here with my partner for four nights. Unfortunately, our first impression was rather terrible. We waited on the street for half an hour or so, continually calling the phone number on the sign out the front, to be answered by the housekeeper who informed me that the desk attendant had gone to get a pizza. This was at 4 pm, an hour after check-in […] time was supposed to commence. We finally made it to our room after about 40 minutes, receiving no real apology upon their eventual arrival. A double room, as explicitly requested online as as well as verbally upon entering the complex, but we were provided simply with two single beds that had been pushed together. This was far from satisfactory, nor were they able to provide us with another room in the same building. All of this being said, the room itself was quite simple. Aside from the TV remote not working and the aforementioned bedding situation, the bathroom was clean, good air conditioning and comfortable bedding. A daily room service would have been preferred (we got new towels on the third day....), but it was all fine. Gorgeous balcony overlooking the fabulously bustling street. Service aside, a cute reasonably priced and clean room right in the middle of the gothic quarter. Make sure you call in advance to confirm your booking, room time and arrival time! Lisez la suite

This is the second time we have stayed at Jaume1 in Barcelona. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the apartment is clean and modern. The location is in the Gothic section and close to Las Ramblas. We appreciated having the kitchenette and balcony. Judy D,/U.S.A.

Loved the location but the bed was terrible. Checking in was a challenge due to the arrogance of the guy checking us in. I found.him rude as well. Too many choices in this area to be treated that way!

location was excellent, staff was friendly and very helpful. Clean when we arrived but no daily services. Our apt. had no elevator and we needed a porter to take suitcase up the two flights of narrow winding staircases. Not recommended for seniors. Office only opened at 10 am but someone there till 4 am. No phone in room.

The apartment was clean and modern. It was very close to all the action of La Rambla and just a block from the Metro. A great place to stay, highly recommended.

Rommet lå midt i det mest interesante område.Kort vei til severdigheter.

Perfekt läge - nära till allt (inkl Metro, sevärdheter och tom Turistbyrån). Enkel men ändamålsenlig standard, helt & rent och med all rimlig köksutrustning. Utmärkt WiFi. Kanske inte bästa valet för den som är känslig för ljud.

Lille og effektivt. Ingen garderobeskab. (men måske i andre værelser? Hotellet er placeret i to forskellige ejendomme). Svært fremkommelig adgang med baggage ad meget smal (indvendig) vindeltrappe).

Ei pystytty kantamaan laukkuja ylös. Ei nähty sitä huonetta.Saatiin toinen huone, johon päästiin hissillä. JOUDUTTIIN MAKSAMAAN 50 EUROA LISÄÄ, MIKSI!! -Saimme vain yhden avaimen, vaikka meitä oli kaksi henkilöä. -Paikalliset henkilöt sanoivat, että hotellin seutu on vaarallista iltaisin. Vastaanotossa vähän niinkuin pakotettiin käyttämään taksia aamulla (7.30) lentokentälle menoon. Vaarallista seutua? Oma taksibisnes? -Katumelu haittasi öisin. -Televisiosta näkyi vain joku musiikkikanava, ei ollut ohjeita kanavien vaihtoon.Olisimme katsoneet säätiedotuksia. -Vastaanoton aukioloajat eivät pitännet paikkaansa, oli auki milloin sattui. Prijs kwaliteit is zeker ok. Ligging is ook heel goed met metro dichtbij maar wel veel lawaai van passage.

Son apartamentos, con todas las comodidades que esto implica, cocina elecritca, horno electrico, refrigerador, heladera, utensillos de cocina, cubiertos, etc; lo cual permite cierta independencia a la hora de pasar varios días en un sitio. Está en el barrio Gótico,bellisimo, a metros de una estación de metro, y 400 metros de La Rambla por calles peatonales, […] lo cual aumenta la comodidad en la estancia. La atención es muy buena. Perfect läge! Rummet var dock pytte liten utan balkong (till motsats av bilden som visades). Vatten läckage som störde mitt i natten då det öste ner som de tydligen redan kände till men ännu inte åtgärdat. Lejlighederne ligger meget centralt med et par små hyggelige og lidt flippede cafeer i nærheden, det også er rimelige i priser - i modsætning til i det meste af Barcelona. Det er særdeles svært at komme op ad den meget smalle trappe, der drejer, så det næsten er umuligt med en stor kuffert. Jeg blev også skuffet, da jeg havde set fotos af lejlighederne […] på hjemmesiden. Men det viste sig, at det var lejligheder, der var lidt større. På min booking stod der adressen til de store lejligheder, men personalet hævdede, at jeg havde booket en af de små lejligheder på den anden side af gaden, Det var jeg ikke ubetinget tilfreds med. Godt råd: Med mindre I vil lave mad selv, så book i stedet et hotel med tre stjerner. Det er sandsynligvis lidt billigere, og måske får I endda morgenmad med og rene håndklæder hver dag. Wir hatten ein Appartment im Haus Jaume I gebucht, nachdem uns die Bilder im Internet sehr zugesagt haben. Bei Ankunft wurde uns mitgeteilt, im Haus Jaume I sei kein Appartment frei. Wir wurden in einem anderen Appartment in der Nähe untergebracht, das einen geringeren Standard hatte und viel kleiner war. Unsere sofortige Beschwerde wurde von der Dame […] im Rezeptionsbüro nicht ernst genommen und vielmehr die Schuld auf das Buchungsportal abgeschoben. Der Hinweis auf unsere eindeutigen Buchungsunterlagen und unser intensives Nachhaken wurde mit einem Schulterzucken quittiert. Im Nachhinein stellten wir fest, dass das erhaltene Appartment wesentlich günstiger war, als der Preis für den wir gebucht und bezahlt haben. Der rversprochene WLAN Zugang funktionierte leider nicht. Alles in allem fühlen wir uns von dem Appartmentvermieter über den Tisch gezogen. So geht man mit Kunden nicht um. Lisez la suite
