Argyll Hotel - Glasgow

Second time in a month that I've stayed at Argyll. It is a quality hotel. My room was spacious, clean and warm. The towels again were excellent quality. The staff were always helpful. The location was very good for me. The breakfast was excellent. Hard to fault anything about this hotel but the only thing I would point out is the 80s ballad at breakfast. […] Come on guys...Jennifer Rush's Power of Love, Paul Young's Whereever I lay my hat, Whitney's "Saving all my love for you"???? etc. Lisez la suite

The vibrant pubs of Kelvingrove are a block away. Close to the Kelvingrove Museum and Glasgow University, with the city tour bus stop s short distance across the road. The area has a fabulous vibe.

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights on a business trip. The hotel looks ordinary from the outside but is excellent for its price throughout. My room was very clean and comfortable. The towels were excellent quality. The breakfast was v v good. The location, though a fair walk from my office location, was great. The staff were very friendly. Was in Glasgow for the Cycling World Cup, and enjoyed my one night at the Argyl. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the Night Porter who hunted high and low (at 2 am!) to find a charger for my phone....unfortunately without success, though not for the lack of trying! Two minor gripes....bar doesn't have satelite TV for sport […] (missed some custom from me!) and automatic alarm call system not adjusted after clock change......so got a call 1 hour earlier than requested! However, receptionist was very apologetic in morning, and I'm sure has it sorted! Would stay again next time I am back..... Lisez la suite

The room was okay not like what I seem on Internet. When arrived, room smell stuffy , table chairs were so cheap I feart to sit on chair as it seem bend so I nvr sit on chair. But I felt they should update the table chairs and wardrobes dressing tables. Apart frm that the cleanliness was excellent and food was good. That about much I can say sorry!

Our stay was very comfortable. Room clean and warm. Bathroom tiles could do with re grouting but any problems were only cosmetic. Staff were very helpfull and welcoming. Enjoyed our short stay and would certainly use the hotel again.

room very poor dirty, dump on the walls (black walls, ript wallpaper, plenty dust, hair on the towels horrible never ever stay again

I stayed here because it is so close to my daughter's university halls. It's a good walk into the city centre though. I would definitely stay again when visiting her. It is cheap, has friendly staff, is clean and serves a lovely breakfast. The decor is fairly dated but that didn't bother me at all. This hotel is in a beautiful area and is easy to reach by public transport. The service is good & the food is typical hotel fare but tasty enough. The decor is old-fashioned and a bit shabby.

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable the room was for the price. Efficient customer service, and well placed for access to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Sports Centre. I would stay here again.

シングル一泊で宿泊しました。部屋は屋根裏部屋のようで、明り取りの窓が屋根にあるだけでした。天井も低く、斜めになっており、平衡感覚がおかしくなりそうでした。ユースホステルのほうがいいかも。朝食はふつうでした。繁華街までは徒歩で30分。近くに中心地に行くバス停もありました。
