Tres bonnes impressions, le personnel est tres agreable, une mention speciale pour le monsieur qui nsous a recu a notre arrivee. Le seul bemol, c est le petit dejeuner qui est vraiment leger et pas varie !!!!

Hôtel modeste et un peu suranné, mais propre, calme, et parfaitement situé en plein coeur de Montréal. Bon accueil par personnel jeune. Pas d'ascenseur. Eviter les chambres qui donnent sur un mur ... Cependant le rapport prix/qualité est très correct.

Hôtel victorien de 2 étages plein de charme avec très bon petit déjeuner.Idéalement situé au centre de la ville dans un enironnement résidentiel au bas du Mont Royal. Seul inconvénient pas d'ascenseur (mallheureusement pour nous, notre chambre était située au 2ème étage!! Acceuil jeune très sympathique.

L'accueil est excellent avec un personnel sympathique toujours prêt à rendre service. L'hôtel, ancien manoir rénové, a beaucoup de charme. Il est très bien situé à 2 pas du centre ville et des principaux points d'intérêt.

Hôtel très bien situé, proche du centre-ville et des transports en commun. La chambre était très grande et très agréable et le charme victorien de l'hôtel nous a enchanté ! Le personnel est très agréable et répondra à toutes vos questions avec gentillesse. très bon hôtel, service impeccable et personnel très sympathique. Chambre agréable et confortable. service de laverie très abordable. Petit déjeuner compris copieux et varié. très bien situé, dans le centre ville, proche du métro. Seul bémol, pas d'ascenseur pour accéder aux chambres et le wifi ne fonctionne pas toujours.

Assurément le meilleur rapport qualité/prix dans ce secteur de Montréal. Lit très confortable, chambre spatieuse, cachet victorien viellot mais charmant. Idéalement situé au centre-ville de Montréal. Plusieurs dizaines d'espace de parking gratuit dans la rue directement en face de l'hôtel (faut un peu de chance pour en trouver une, mais une fois stationné, […] on peut y demeurer plusieurs jours). Hôtel a besoin de rénovation , la décoration et le mobilier est très vieux ,on pourrait dire qu il a été acheté au magasin de l Armé du Salut ou Émmaus parlons du confort du lit les ou le matelas son bon pour la poubelle .Je ne pense pas retourné a cette hôtel

C'est une très belle petite auberge! L'accueil est très chaleureuse et le déjeuner compris est parfait! Par contre, quelques rénovations devraient être faits et il n'y a pas de stationnement. Bref, l'auberge est très bien et pas chère.

Pour ce qui est de l'hotel, belle architecture (magnifique), tres bel accueil chaleureux et personnel souriant. Petit hic, les frais de stationnement ne sont pas inclus dans le prix de la chambre il faut donc y prévoir 15$ de plus au prix de la chambre. We Loved it!! When do you ever get a chance to stay in a hotel that is 100 years old. Loved all the original interior pieces. Rooms are a bit small, but very comfortable for two people. Everything was a short walk away. Loved the fact that we didn't have to drive anywhere. The staff was VERY friendly. Had a snack station with fresh fruits and a great […] little breakfast on the go. Good location for the price, very friendly hotel staff. Hotel with character, including spiral stairs which are a daily wokout if on the third floor, small room, and even smaller shower. Breakfast is barely worth a mention, consisting of tiny croissants and hard boiled eggs - no jam or butter provided.

Great rate on a longer stay in the city - very close to McGill and Musée de Beaux Arts, 1 block from Metro. First time seeing a hotel with wooden floors, and that was a great thing for my allergies! Room had a lot of unique charm, very quiet (faced back alley), beautiful chandelier and fireplace. François-Xavier at front desk was alway super-friendly […] and helpful (suggested a great poutinerie and some good sights to see). Breakfast was a little lack-luster, but still convenient, and they were still clearly doing some renovations in the hotel (supplies in back hallway by our room, tv in room was newly and slightly awkwardly mounted on wall, loose faucet fixture in bathroom). Those didn't spoil our stay at all, we had a great time, and really enjoyed staying somewhere that didn't look like the Days Inn you find anywhere. Felt like staying in someone's home. The location was terrific. The room was outdated and not super clean. The staff was very friendly, but not at the front desk at all times. The breakfast was terrible. We did not have enough to eat and had to go out afterward.

I loved how the room looked. This was my second time staying at this hotel and both time it was clean and the service was good. Each room seems to have a character also, both beautiful old victorian. The first time, I had a room on the second floor with shared bath. I loved the room and the shared bath was a little inconvenient but not much of a problem. […] This time, I had the first floor with a private bathroom and beautiful high ceiling but the noise from the second floor was pretty bad - I could hear all of their conversation until 3 in the morning. I don't think the people were particularly loud. They were just talking and this old victorian house has very poorly soundproofed rooms. I admit that I am a bit more sensitive to the noise than others but I couldn't sleep until 3am because of the noise. I wouldn't really stay there again unless it's really cheap, since the location is very nice. Lisez la suite

The reception staff were very friendly and super helpful with giving directions and recommendations to 'foreigners' on food, bars, things to do and they were very patient with us. Room was like a regular bedroom but very cozy and homey. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, its lovely. Cant wait to go back in the summer :)

A small builing just around the corner from giant hotel buildings, so the neighborhood/location is good. There were bus stops and metro stations nearby (a 3-day pass for busses and the subway was $18) that got us anywhere we needed to be. Staff was helpful. If you need parking, call ahead and reserve it because they only have 4 spots available, however […] I reserved a spot only 3 nights before traveling without a problem. The building itself is really interesting and made it feel like we were staying in a part of historical montreal, rather than visiting the city during the day and going to some boring hotel room at night. The hotel was close to McGill University allowing my daughter to easily moved into her dorm. The location was safe and quiet. The staff was friendly and professional, they spoke english, french and spanish fluently making it easy to request for assistance. Breakfast was simple but delicious. It was amazing. My grandmother and I loved the hotel, the location was fabulous, especially with its proximity to McGill Uni. where we were visiting. It's close enough to the downtown area where we didn't need to drive anywhere. The only downside is that you are lucky if you get a spot for the private parking, but there are enough parking garages nearby […] that it isn't too much of an issue. Nice stay, relatively quiet, plentiful of nice towels, beware of stair to reach your room and yes there is no elevator. Free WiFi, ok to check email, although you need a Facebook account to use! As mention it a two start hotel...

Very good choice for its price. The building is old and there is no elevator. On the plus side, my room was clean, spacious, warm, and equipped with a huge TV! The alarm clock with iPod / iPhone dock was also a nice touch. The staff was very friendly too. Within walking distance from the Mont Royale park, downtown, and the old city.

Was looking for a romantic hotel at a reasonable price and Manoir Ambrose definitely fits the bill. Hotel rooms are gorgeous and found the beds to be very comfortable. Location was excellent - short trip from the airport using the express bus and close to the Peel STM stop. Also within walking distance to core area of nightlife. Highly recommend!

We got a room that had a huge crack in the ceiling and looked like it was about to fall down on us. There was mold in the bathroom. Breakfast was good but condition of our room was not up to the standard of the review.

This is an older hotel converted from a mansion but they have done a great job of including the expected modern amenities such as hairdryers, flat screen TV and Wi Fi. Our room was very spacious. The towels and linens were top notch. Friendly staff and great breakfast. They have a few small parking spaces at the back. The location was excellent.

the hotel is very well located , but I think they ought to warn somebody about the items that are uncomfortable for the aged or physically handicapped people about the conditions characteristic of this hotel and I am refering to the placing of the room , that there were not waiters available and no elevator .

I stayed three nights in this little hotel in Montreal. The guy at the fornt desk was so nice that I had never seen any hotel stuffs being so friendly and patient. Excellent location and good value. Not a luxury hotel, but satisfies all your basic needs. We parked on street when checking-in (easy in afternoon to find a space, impossible on workday morning), so parking was free. Safe neigborhood, close to museums and University. Breakfast was fantastic (no meats - which worked for our vegeterian family), staff […] - friendly. They walked outside with us to make sure parking is allowed the next day (all parking signs - in French and confusing). Rooms are OK, bathroom - below average.
