The hotel rooms a old, very old but its nostalgic. Had a room by the river and that view is very nice. Once of the coolest Casino hotels in Nevada, real wild wild west athmosphere. Love to gamble in this place. If you prefere down town Las Vegas over the strip you will love this place. One of few old school places still around.

They charged us more than you said the bill would be. Rooms and and buildings a re shabby. Toliet overflowed two diferent times. The bathroom sink also was jammed and overflowed. Just not worth the price.

An older place buy everyone treated us first rate.Pet room deposit required but inspection done at 0500. Will stay there again and I recommend it to others.

Service was very good except that we had to go outside for Wi-fi. But better than the other one as we had to pay 10.00 a day for it.

The hotel was adequate. It is older but was pretty clean. It is in a good location to hit everything in Laughlin. It was a reasonable price. I would stay there again. We requested a non-smoking room and got it. I read a prior review which said they did not have non-smoking rooms; but they do, so we were happy about that.
Just wished they would of told us they were trapping skunks so we would of kept a closer watch on our dog! Otherwise it was good.

The price of the hotel was cheap and our room reflected that cost. We were stuck in a smoking room (because there wasn't a non smoking option) so waking up with a smokey blanket in our faces was not the highlight of our trip. The bathroom was clean, but the shower head was reminiscent of the beach showers. I'm not saying the hotel is completely unfortunate, […] but at the low cost per room you get what you pay for. Stayed overnight and my wife and I enjoyed our surroundings. We ate dinner,which could be a little bolder . Played the slots that night and was lucky,....

Customer service, aweful, rooms aweful, was accused of having a fog in our room when we didnt. Security guard came housekeeping came and they still insisted that we had a dog. Never felt so uncomfortable. No apologies, rooms are terrible mattress felt like i was going to fall through it. Then bathroom flooded and maintenance made us feel stupi, said […] prob left curtain out.. no apologies, nothing. Will never go back again, and we had been there 3 times in a month.... Lisez la suite

We must have been a long way from the water heater, because hot water was a long time coming. The sheets were flannel-like and scratchy, the pillows were foam.

Thiis Hotel may appear to be the oldest in Laughlin, but the people working there were friendly and helpful. It was clean, comfy affordable, and inviting. It may have a smaller tv , but who goes to watch tv in a hotel room? The bed is a little hard, but some places we have stayed they are way to soft. I suppose it all depends on the person. "what a dissapointment"
I felt like I was in a bus station.
The bed was horrible, the shower barley came out and to get it higher it was either burning hot or freezing cold, no hairdryer or alarm clock in the room, the breakfast buffet was horrible eggs are watery nothing was fresh except from the guy making your fresh eggs ( i recommend) the cocktail waitresses were rude and snobbish so was the bankers, the […] only nice encounter we received was checking and checking out. i will never stay at this hotel ever again. "Older hotel"
The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathtub was old, stained with mold incorners. The floor and wallpaper in the bathroom was coming away from the wall. It is an older hotel so didn't expect perfection. However, the tub and surroundings in our friends bathrom was much better and they paid less.

"RUSTiC"
Great rate, great service, great location. If you want fancy...pass it up, rustic is the word, charm and character is the other word.. Give it a chance you just might like it. I hadn't stayed at the Pioneer in years but research on line found an appealing price so I booked it, glad I did.
The only reason I don't rate this hotel higher is that it definately needs a face lift it's out dated, but clean I like that you don't have to go thru the casino to get to your car. I have stayed here a few times now and will continue to go back the people who work there are very nice and freindly!

the bed was so unconfortable i had a back ache. i been to hotels where ive ask for extra time to leave room and they have given me an hour or a little more. here they would not give you more than a half hour and the hotel was mostly empty. i will not be coming to this hotel again or casino and i go to laughlin at least once a month and spend good money […] in casino. It is an older casino, the room we had was clean and and it was quite. The staff were pleasant and the food was great.

My card key was very difficult to get it to work. The carpet was stained and dirty to the point I would not go bare footed on it and I am not picky nor am I a neat freak. The bed was hard to the point of hurting. I will not stay in this hotel again and I will not reccomend it to anyone else.

The hotel was close to the other casinos. I was on the first floor and could hear the people walking in the room above me. Also, the smoking rooms were available at 1 PM, but the non-smoking rooms were not available until after 3 PM.

country music all night long kept me up, plus every time someone walked by floors are so bad it is ridiculously loud. the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. the shower is awful. Even the casino the machines were old and hard to see the screen. when I booked I didn't expect much for the price except a place to sleep but didn't even get that.

This is by far the worst place to stay in laughlin.The hotel clerk could'nt give me a non -smoking room! Also, the clerk was unfriendly.

...we were both bit, I turned in 16 - 18 bugs in a cup to the front desk. We were refunded for our first nights stay and moved to a different room, No bugs there. It was hard to sleep however, I have been slightly scarred. We love the casino, the bar overlooking the water, the location...just had hoped the way they handled the bugs would have been something […] more since we had the hassle of having to fine tooth comb everything before bring our belongings home, and not contaminating our home with bed bugs. Staff was extremely nice and very curtious. Room needed a little updating with paint but clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast Buffet was excellent. we would definitly stay there again. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

I was very unhappy with the rooms,they had oder of smoking in them,the second room we stayed in the door handle from thr inside wasn't on the door.It falls off everytime you opened the door from the outsideall in allnot safe to stay in,and I reported it to font desk,and it wasn't taken care off at the time.When you used the a/c,heater,you got even more […] cigarette smellSo it wasn't what I expected Thank you Lisez la suite
"pioneer is a neat throwback"
we had just left the Paris in Vegas so this was quite a contrast. It is not glitzy but clean and comfortable. The best part that it is a motel so you park right outside your room and don't need to walk through a smokey casino to get to your room. It is a great deal. If you want a very modern , full of bright lights casino, this is not for you but if […] you want comfort , convenience, affordability,then its for you. "Our Oct 21 2011 Trip"
Do not stay here, our room was bad. There was dead ants in the toilet,in the bath tub,all over the bathroom floor, there was no water in the toilet,and when they turned on the water the toilet ran all night long. The ice machine was not working I had to go to the first floor,and then the elavator decided not to work so I had to take the stairs up to […] the third floor. So it was not a very good vacation. Basic affordable rooms. The bar is cool and margaritas are 1$!!! Overall my wife and me enjoyed are stay and had great time!
