I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I turned up and was greeted quite plasantly but it went downhill from there. The room smelt of smoke, there were holes in the pillow cases, no plug for the bath and when i asked for a plug i was told they didnt have a spare and i would have to have a shower. the water was cold in the morning so had to have […] a cold shower and shave. The owners were quite friendly but the whole experience was that of poor sanitation, poor decor and repair and it absolutely not worht £60 a night ( given i managed to stay at a dever hotel in wales for £75 which was amazing. The owners were very pleasant and friendly. The one disappointment was the lack of help when we needed to set out early on the first morning, in order to obtain a landing permit for Skomer. These are issued on a first come first served basis and are limited to 250 per day at the landing stage near the village of Maloes. On arriving at the hotel my first impression was the smell of drains comming from the restaurant toilet area The room i was shown to was in the attic and was to put it mildly grubby and cheaply furnished The door to the roomhad no door handle and had two large holes in it where previous locks had been smashed off It had two of the cheapest single beds […] that could be purchased both of which had mattresses with the shape of the springs showing through they had the cheapest grubby nylon sheets and a thin cheap duvet The duvet was so thin i had to wear my dressing gown to bed because the duvet was so thin THe bathroom had a toilet which because of the low roof eves i could not stand in front of to urinate The shower had an electric water heater which when it was turned to hot provided a trickle of water not enough to shower properly I had booked for two nights at the last minute to visit a very sick reletave in a local hospital but was so disgusted with the hotel i left first thing next morning Lisez la suite
