"surprise with room"
Ok, the bed was good, the room was clean, but size of room and your struture made me feel like a chicken, and the bathroom much dirty. I don´t worth for anybody. The classification must be one star.
"No privacy, very noisey"
Not again!
"Very reasonable price for NY"
Not very good Hotel, but good for price. If you go alone and you don't have problems with noise, it is good for you. Reasonably clean tiny rooms. It is difficult to find something cheaper.
"very cheap"
you get what you pay for
"It's great for backpackers"
It's the cheapest and most ideal place for a visitor who is only looking for a place to stay for a night. Have very low expectation. The location is great because it's in Chinatown, very close to the financial district and you can get to the Canal st subway from there with relative ease.
"This Was Not a Room"
This hotel lied in their listing. They don't have rooms. A room has a ceiling. Mine did not, so it was not a room. The space I was in would best be described as a cubby, cubicle, or stall (like a barn). It was loud and bright 24 hours a day.
Cheap :)
Do not stay

"Sun Bright? More like dark nightmare."
Sun Bright is not a hotel. It isn't even a hostel. It is a filthy storage facility with people crammed in it. If the plague were to spread throughout NYC, it wouldn't surprise me if it started in this dump. The "rooms" are smaller than closets with chicken wire on top of make-shift walls. It is a horrible experience every second you are in that nightmare. […] You can hear every sound and smell every disgusting smell in all the dozens of rooms around you. You don't want to leave your belongings while you are around town. It is not safe. It is more of an insane asylum; it's beyond polite descriptions. I have stayed in hostels and hotels all over Europe and America and this is the worst place I have ever stayed in by far. Hotels.com should remove this awful place from its listing. You could not pay me to stay another night at Sun Bright, the most falsely named place I've been to. I can send you pictures; it is shockingly messed up. You need numbers in the negative to rate this place. Lisez la suite
"Sun Bright"
This is good only if you're just trying to lay your head somewhere for the evening. Although my room or "cell" was clean there was literally only room for me to lay my stuff on the floor and the bed to lay on. Extremely narrow space, but if you just need a quick resting place this is a low cost way to get it done. Wifi worked but no tv or closet. Strictly […] a place to lay down for the night or relax until you make your next move Lisez la suite

"small..small...small!!>."
if you dont wanna spend an extra 20 dollars for a decent room in a different hotel with your own private bathroom then this is the hotel for you... ! the rooms are ridiculous small and for the price is not even worth it. the only good thing i can say about the hotel is that it had cable! lol..
"baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad"
very baaaaaaad
"Sun Bright Hotel: NOT TOO BRIGHT..."
Not for the claustrophobic; this "room" is smaller than an office cubicle! Don't expect a four-star hotel, either. If you're a deep sleeper and all you need is a place to rest at night then go for it. Location is great but with paper thin walls, springy mattress and a chicken wire ceiling, you definitely get what you pay for.
"sun bright hostel"
this hostel is really dirty and bad smell in china town. "no so bad point" is only location, near SOHO, a lot of restaurants, and can easily access from JFK airport.
"Prison cell"
This is a no-service almost scary hotel, that gives you a little box to sleep in. The paperthin walls do not reach the ceiling and you can hear the person in the next cell breating. Horrible hotel - must be avoided.

if u can sleep in a public wash room then u can stay here happily i let u imagine it imagine public washroom of course u can hear beside person's work even there is a wall between men!! because that's not celling same like this and remove toilet and add small bed! that's it i recommend no you have to stay 5 floors if i stayed 3 or 4 floors i can't […] sleep there was a homeless at aisle nice man Lisez la suite

"The SUnbright hotel In Chinatown In NYC"
This is the most pathetic hotel I have ever been. The 1-person cubes are so small that you can't even stretch your legs. 2-person rooms have just enough space to accomodate the bed. By all means, please refrain from staying at this hotel.
"Don't go here!"
This hotel was not good, just don't go here!
"hardly a hotel"
The location is great, the rooms are very small (2m by 1,5m !!!!!) the shared bathrooms are dirty and broken. No room service, no TV , no telephone..... Quite cheap for New York but you should only book it if you need a sleeping place and nothing else.
"Worst ever"
This is the worst one ever, no ceilings, public restroom, horrible officer attitude, rubbish environment. I can't believe I pay for all these. It's like jail. I will never ever been here ever again in my entire life!!!

"Cheapest hotel on Manhattan"
The room is a cubicle with a single bed. There is no TV, there is wireless Internet but the speed for me was that of a dial-up connection, but you can't beat the price.
"Scummiest hotel in NYC"
I'll start by saying I wouldn't even call this a hotel. I booked this place because I got back to NYC a day early and my apartment that I subletted would not be vacant until the next day. It was very close to my apartment. Plus it was cheap. It's more of a boarding house jail-like facility that caters mostly to Asian immigrants and European tourists, […] the latter I'm sure don't know what they are getting into. The men's dorm like room are small little private rooms that are about 10 ft x 4 ft. No ceiling - just a cage like covering. You can hear people snoring and farting very easily as the stranger next door is literally sleeping a one inch wall away. The floor I was on was decently clean, but passing by other floors, I saw cats walking around, smelled some funky odors and they looked very dirty. I gander that the place is relatively safe, but you do suspect. I highly do not recommend. Lisez la suite

"Dormatory style hostel"
Very basic lodging, hardly worth calling a hotel.
The hotel needs socialised customer service attendant, they hardly understand english and unfriendly.
"The good things from a bad hotel"
I reached this hotel as it was cheap and relatively well positioned within the NY area. But here ends the good things part of it. The hotel is very small i mean VERY so beware: NOT RECOMMENDED for claustrophobic persons! The room (if I can call it that way) is 1,5 x 2 meters only! It's a huge floor (the 5th) which has all the rooms in it ( ~ 90 rooms) […] with no ceilings, it has instead a wired network on top of each room, that's why you need ear plugs to attenuate the surrounding noise so you can sleep. You can literally hear all 90 room mates in the same time :) The "room" was clean and you get a clean towel, toothbrush, soap, and toothpaste. I've stayed 3 nights in there and nobody came to clean my "room" so... Overall, it's a backpacker HOSTEL. It's cheap. I left also valuable stuff in my romm and nothing happened, so I guess it's OK in this matter too. Lisez la suite
distance to subway is ok, 3. an 4. floor horrible, 5th ok. romm was clean, its really loud at night, you can hear every movement from the other "rooms"...
"Merely a place to lay your head"
This place consists of "rooms" that are size of closets lined up in a row. No ceilings. You hearing snoring, farting, etc. of all around you. A small cot sized bed is comfortable enough for a single person who is in desperate need of a place. This is basically a hostel with walls between the "beds" and no community feel. Interesting, some local flavor, […] but ya..... Lisez la suite
"Sunbright Hotel New York"
Although you cannot expect too much for the price it should be clean. Also no wireless internet although this was said to be available.
Room was tiny, the area was horrible, the staff were far from helpful. The first few floors absolutely stunk of cat urine. I accidentally left a plastic bag full of clothes that needed to be washed in my room, when I called back to ask about it, they said that they threw it our because 'it was all old clothes'. Even though every single item of clothing […] was brand new, having only been worn once. All they could offer me was an apology and the usual blank, dumb faces. Avoid this place like the plague. "Good for the money"
It's a very tiny room with chicken wire as a ceiling with no privacy at all but it was cheap and a good location. Good for young people.
"cheap, chinatown, cats"
very cheap, right in the middle of china town, but theres cats living in the hotel and smells like urine. its good if you jsut want a place to rest your head for the night. walls are paper thin. dont come here if your expecting much
"Never Again"
Dont Sleep in this Hotel. The 3 & 4th Floor are Dirty and have Pets in the Floor. The Rooms are Small. 1m x 2m this is Very Bad. I will never Sleep in this Hotel. Wifi dont work. You have no Wifi on the 5th Floor ...
"Sun Bright Hostel, not Hotel"
The hotel was terrible. The only redeeming quality was that the hotel was right in the heart of Chinatown. The first few floors were basically extremely low income housing with cat urine and cats everywhere and people sitting in the hallways leering. The rooms were clean but very small. My sheet had a bit of a brown stain but smelled clean. It has a […] small closet as well. There were what looked like black dropping of some sort on the mattress and closet. Not sure what that was about. It was also extremely noisy. There was no ceiling to the room, only an open space with chickenwire as the ceiling so you could hear every footstep and conversation of everyone passing by. If you can, spend a little bit more money and stay in a decent hotel. Not worth the trouble. Mostly for backpackers who are desperate. Lisez la suite
"Bare minimum, done well."
Rooms are minuscule, facilities are non-existent, bathrooms are small and shared, but there's Wi-Fi, everything is clean, the location is great and price is certainly right. It's no Grand Hyatt, but if you're ready to trade comfort for a great location at a great price, this is heartily recommended.

"Horror"
It's all I can say. It's like been in jail without been a criminal. The units are like the ones in prision but with a door instead of bars. Cats around the corridors. I am really disapointed that hotels.com will have this available for anybody. Also disapointed that NYC toursim departent can allow a place like this to have tourist. I have been many […] times in chep hostels but this is not a hostel, is like jail. Lisez la suite
"you get what you pay for"
