Malgré une situation excentrée de l'hôtel et un petit déjeuner de faible qualité, l'accueil professionnel et des belles chambres font de cet hôtel un endroit agréable et abordable pour une ou plusieurs nuits.

"Great weekend get away!"
Our stay started off rocky with the manager on duty for the day Nick I believe it was almost lost our business forever over $50. The front desk help Amanda saved the stay and our business. If the manager had used a different tone and attitude it could have been avoided. After that uncomfortable issue the stay was wonderful. The area of Old Port is one […] of our favorites and when ever we go away we always return to there. We feel safe walking at any time. The hotel is just on the "side" of the city so you can start at one end and just walk and walk getting to see all of he interesting stores, galleries, and amazing architecture. The nice thing about the Hampton Inn is that it offers a courtesy ride should you need one to or from the hotel to anywhere I think in Old Port (we didn't use it). "Relaxed, clean and comfy family stay"
Entire hotel is very clean and NEW. Everyone was very friendly to us and our children. A short walk to the Casco Bay ferry line and the harbor streets. We even walked to the Children's Museum of Maine and it wasn't that bad. The hotel provided us a clean and almost new pack n play with clean sheets for my younger son. "Easy spot for touring Portland"

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Having the Brewing Company downstairs was a huge plus for us. Just don't count on the hotel guest only access door to work with your room keys. Everyone in our group had touble and had to use the other doors. Not a big deal just annoying. We've stayed at this Hampton location several times and it's always terrific!!! The morning breakfast is great and the staff is friendly; I just wish they would do away with the valet parking, it's such a pain and an unnecessary expense... I thought that the front desk and management staff were wonderful. I do think that the valet should be instructed to help the guests get their luggage out of their cars rather then stand and watch us get it out of the cars. I smashed my hand getting my suitcase out of my car and the valet just stood there and watched. My son (who was not with me when […] I checked in) asked the desk why the valet did not assist me with my luggage and they told him it is not policy. My thought is that any man who stands their and watches an older woman struggle with luggage should be ashamed of himself. If that is the policy of your hotel, it needs to be changed as it is not a good service policy. They did assist me with the luggage when I checked out. The room was spotless upon arrival. The swimming is very small, don't trust the pictures. Location is central and convenient but there is no harbor view from the hotel, which is next to some parking lots. Breakfast is good but ends at 10am even on weekends... Apart from that the hotel is great, very clean and nice, the shuttle service guys are very nice and helpful and we had a very good […] time. The $15 parking was dissapointing, there was plenty of parking around and the fine for getting a ticket is $10. oh well no biggie. The room was well laid out. We didnt get the good nights sleep we were looking for. the heating system was having issues. We turned the heat down 6 times and it kept getting hotter and dryer. In the end we turned the shower […] on for humidity and turned the AC on to get the room bellow 75. After a so-so breakfast we complained, they said thanks and sorry. I would not have been upset but there was a big sign saying that if i wasnt satified id get the room at no charge etc. oh well. if it was an under $75/night place no worries but at close to $150 i expected more. We had a wonderful trip to Portland, and comfortable relaxing stay at the Hampton Inn. The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are generously appointed with plenty of towels, and a large bathroom, beds are clean soft and fresh with white sheets and duvets, and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. There is also a mini fridge and microwave in room, […] so stock up on snacks! A fabulous Whole Foods is a 2 min drive away. Hot breakfast was definitely sufficient. Pool is small but nice, clean, water is salted and not too chlorinated. Some of Portland’s highly regarded restaurants are literally within steps of this hotel too...Duckfat, Eventide Oyster Co. Hotel staff was courteous and the rooms were clean and quiet. I was able to park the car for the whole weekend and walk just about everywhere. "Not Worth The High Cost"
The hotel iteself is nice and new. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic (besides the weird, spungy, scrambled egg "nuggets"). A few disappointments though: There was no hot tub. I've stayed at far cheaper hotels that had a nice hot tub. Also, the indoor swimming pool was a chilly 72 degrees. They advertise a "heated" pool. I don't think that counts. […] Also, the key cards to the room stopped working a couple of times and I had to make multiple trips to the lobby to get into our room. Plus it cost $30 to valet park our two cars. There were no other reasonable parking options. We could have paid less than half to stay outside the city in a hotel with more amenities and get a cab to drive us in.
