L'hôtel présente un confort agréable et très propre cependant nous avons été déçus quand à la qualité de l'accueil et la qualité des petits déjeûners! (par rapport aux commentaires qui louangeaient cet hôtel justement pour ces critères!)

The welcome at the Aaron is enough to feel like you are at a five star hotel on the royal mile. From the minute I walked in to the minute I left the staff could not do enough to make my stay welcome.  I went I to the city centre which is a short ride on a local bus for something to eat on my first night which was a Monday as the restaurant is not open. […]  On my second nights stay I stayed local and had a fantastic meal in the hotel restaurant which was a real treat.  The food is of excellent quality and the staff treat you like a star. Lovely little hotel with friendly owners. great price as well. room on small side but big enough for me. very tastefully decorated with modern bathroom. big screen tv. Evening meal was excellent with lovely breakfast. would definitely stay again.

Absolutely fine. Nothing remotely like a chain hotel; it's a clean and friendly bed and breakfast with spacious rooms and a nice bathroom and as a place to rest my head, I have no complaints. Free WiFi, although the bed was possibly a tiny bit saggy although this is a very minor criticism. Breakfast a little basic and more of a buffet -- some decent […] filter coffee would have been nice -- but enough to set you up for the day. The couple running the place were chatty, friendly and helpful and warm. Unsure what the previous comment about the lack of phone was! There was certainly a phone in our bedroom, and the shopping centre nearby would be an incredibly slow 25 minute walk. It's a little far out, but a safe and quiet residential area, and frequent buses from right outside will get you into the centre in 15-30 minutes depending on traffic. Lisez la suite

The owner and staff were so friendly and welcolming. the rooms were lovely and comfortable. The only negative thing we could say about the hotel was we were going to have dinner in the hotel and asked for a menu as I am a vegateran I asked if there was any other choices I could have as I did not like the one on the menu, the owner was very nice and […] said he would ask the chef if he could make something but, when he did the chef said that was the only thing he had. I stayed at Aaron Lodge June 25 through July 5. The room was clean and quite; the king bed was comfortable. My room had wifi (a bit slow but certainly functioning) and a TV (I didn't have much use for it). The lodge provides a hearty free breakfast. It also has a restaurant where my wife and I dined once -- the food was delicious. I found Tom (the proprietor) […] to be friendly and charming. The main drawback for me was the location as the lodge is a bit away from downtown, and the immediate neighborhood does not offer much in the way of food or attractions. However, the lodge is right next to several bus lines (the bus service is very good), and if you are getting around by car, the lodge provides its own parking spots. Lisez la suite

We were only there overnight. Everything was fine except the lack of phone !My mobile wouldn't work in Scotland and there was not a land line available as " everyone has a mobile these days or laptop" from the manager/owner?It was raining and the nearest phone was a taxi ride away, or 25 min walk to the shopping complex.

The lodge was clean and exactly like the pictures on the website. Staff were friendly. The problem was with the breakfast which was very limited. Also, the lodge is about 30 mins away from the city centre by bus. It gets pretty dark in front of the lodge at night and there is usually no one around, which was a bit frightening.

Very comfortable rooms with up to date bathrooms. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located for the centre - about a 15 min journey and we didn't have to wait longer than 5 min for a bus. The hotel offers a good breakfast selection in a very nice conservatory. I would definitely stay again.

Diese Hotel ist mehr Schein als Sein. Unter dem glatt gezogenen Oberbett befand sich jeden Abend leider ein nicht gemachtes Bettlaken. Das kostenlose WLAN war auf dem Zimmer so schwach, dass man es mit einem Smartphone nicht nutzen konnte. Der groß angepriesene Flachbildschirmfernseher hatte einen deutlichen Grünstich, sodass man das Bild manchmal kaum […] erkennen konnte. An einem Abend viel mehrmals der Strom aus. Das Frühstücksbuffet war werktags von 7:30 - 8:30 und am Wochenende von 8-9 Uhr geöffnet. Wir haben erfahren müssen, dass es werktags aber schon um 8:20 abgeräumt war. Wir hatten auch erlebt, dass das Buffet erst um 7:40 öffnete, sodass die Zeit zum Frühstücken für Urlaubsgäste sehr beschränkt war. Dabei wurde man persönlich durch die Servicekraft darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass die Zutaten des Buffets laut des Chefs so rationiert seien, dass pro Gast z. B. nur 1/4 Tomate als Beilage zur Verfügung stünde. Leider war das Restaurant abends geschlossen, was aus dem Prospekt auch nicht zu ersehen war!.Es lag wohl daran, dass die Betreiber in unserer Aufenthaltszeit in Urlaub waren. Die Lage ist zwar gut, jedoch mussten wir in unserem Zimmer deutlichen Verkehrslärm erdulden. Wir werden dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen! Lisez la suite

Frühstücksbuffet ist gut. Wer möchte, kann dort auch Abendessen, gute Küche. Zimmer und Bad sind sauber und groß genug. Nachteil ist: es liegt am Stadtrand, ist aber sehr gut mit dem Bus zu erreichen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut und das Hotel kann weiterempfohlen werden.

super Hotel. Supernette Besitzer. Neu renoviert. Gute Lage. Busverbindung direkt vor dem Hotel und mit dem Bus kommt man direkt in das Stadtzentrum von Edinburgh. Sehr zu empfehlen.
