"Pleasantly surprised"
Pleasantly surprised, very freindly with good atmosphere. I was on an overnight busness stop and arrived late, so I can't really comment on family use etc. It would certainly suit couples. The decor is typical of an old village pub and was clean and fresh looking, however I overheard the locals saying it will be closed for decorating in Jan. Hopefully […] it will retain the original feel with the expoosed beams etc. Dinning area was spacious, clean and well organised. breakfast was ample and good, Next time, I am in the area, I would certainly use again. "excellant base camp for the Lakes"
We found the location ideal for our visit to the Lakes and our double room along with our friends kingsize room were upto 5 star rating . The quality of the staff was exemplary and we were all made to feel at home at any time of the day. The fact that the owners had only recently taken over (3 days) did not detract from the service and we wish them […] well in the future. We would, without any hesitation, highly recommend this hotel to both friends and strangers.We only ate once in the restrauant and it was well worth the experience. "Pleasant Pheasant!"
A pleasant hotel, staffed by charming and helpful people. We arrived very late, 11.00pm, but were received in a friendly way. We were at the hotel for less than 11 hours. The rooms are quite old-fashioned, but that is in keeping with the hotel. Beautiful views. Good breakfast. Priced appropriately. We would stay there again.Avis véridique Expedia
