Rodeway Inn & Suites Fiesta Park - San Antonio

The hotel is in dire need of maintenance. Light bulbs out, faucets did not work. Could use some paint. The bed sheets where stain and did not get change daily. Rooms carpets worn and torn, be carefull is not what you see in the pictures!

It might seem worth the money, but if you plan to stay there with your kids because you're trying to save $$$$$, think again. I would spend the extra $20 to stay somewhere else!!!!

We were impressed on how spacious our room was..had a kitchenette which was great for our family of 5..the bed was extremely comfortable and I was impressed on how quiet it was at night..it seemed to be a little isolated and I loved that..didn't have to hear traffic all night and really good continental breakfast!! I was very surprised with our room, it was very clean and very spacious. The hotel needs to do some cosmetic updates but over all I was very happy with this hotel. The only down side was it didn't have a stove or any kind of burner. If I am ever going to stay in san Antonio again I would be staying in this hotel again. We had 3 small kids staying in […] the room and it was very spacious. My 5 year old asked if we could go back to that cool house again. He didn't understand it was a hotel not a house. The lady working the front desk was very very nice, we had taken a pie and forgot to take anything to eat it on or with and she was nice enough to give us plates and forks. The room was in much needed repair and cleaning. The toilet would run constantly if you did not wiggle the handle after the tank refilled. The vanity sink light didn't work. There was no remote for the TV set and the replacement remote didn't work. There was at least a half inch of ice in the freezer bottom of a multiplitude of colors. The A/C really […] did not get cool, even all the way down to the lowest setting of 60 degrees. The so called breakfast consisted of one waffle iron, fruit loops, frosted flakes, raisin bran, corn flakes, white bread, milk, apple and orange juice, coffee and the smallest muffins in the world (banana nut only)! We were very surprised by the roominess of the room. Our crawling granddaughter had plenty of safe space in which to crawl and wear herself out before bed.There was plenty of room so her port-a-crib was in a nice area and we didn't have to crawl over it to get to the bathroom. I really like how the clothes closet was not next to the door and was 'hidden' […] from visiting guest. The bed was comfortable and we both fell asleep right away. The hotel was located just 3.2 miles from UTSA and 3.5 miles from UTSA Health Science Research Center. We stayed here because we had a limited budget. Didn't realize the reservation was for a smoking room. My entire suitcase and it's contents reek of cigarette smoke. Our friends were put in a non-smoking room but they had a horrible mildew or like a wet-dog smell to their room.

I have stayed at this location approx. 3 times. Always been greeted very well by the hotel attendant. (Male) He always welcomes everyone and gives them/us all the information of the amenities. Example: the login for the wireless and also informs us of the free pass to use the gym that is only a few minutes (approx. 2-3) walking distance from the hotel. […] On the other hand, the female attendant is nice but not very informative. This last stay I mentioned to her that the room we stayed in had a horrible stench to it. It seemed that water spilled over the bathtub and it looked like it was vacuumed but the room was not aired out, so needless to say the stench was just horrid. My son just had finished his chemo and we were so exhausted from the long hours and stress, that we slept through it. My point is that in the morning when we were checking out I advised her of the condition of the room and it seemed she didn't really care what I had to say. I in no means have ever been rude to any personnel, we have never had a problem, but it was just sad to see that she really didn't even say a word... not even to make me think that she acknowledged me. The room had a very heavy moldy smell, and the shower knob was unpredictable. it was stuck and did not work..there were water stains on the ceiling. I would not recommend or stay here again.

Our stay was very bad. The room had a kitchenet that had a rusty tap, ripped cabinet, a burner that did not work. Shockingly; my son opened the kitchenette drawer and saw a roach in there... I can't describe how poor the quality of this hotel is. It is not at all well kept. Then we changed the room; yet the other room's sink was clogged, fridge rusty, […] electric sockets were not working. Vanity sink was broken and tap was rusty. As for their breakfast; they refilled when we asked since the receptionist is the only one running the guest services and the breakfast room. Everything was great except they where repainting the sidewalks of the hotel and the paint had a strong oder. Had to go around the outside of the stairs to get to them because sidewalk was roped off due to painting them.

We needed a couple of days close to the medical area to visit our doctors and this was the best location for us to sleep and not have to rush in the morning to beat the traffic since it is very close to the medial buildings we visited. They will soon be going under a million dollar renovation. I imagine the price will go up after that. However, the design of the rooms are great. They are big with full kitchenettes. Yes, the carpet looks old, but the beds and bathrooms were clean and nice enough.
