ibis London Blackfriars - Londres

Pas vraiment de surprise dans cet Ibis. Tout y est standardisé comme dans n'importe quel autre Ibis en Europe. Les locaux sont neufs et le personnel parle correctement français. Il n'y a pour ainsi dire aucune vue par la fenètre de la chambre (au 4ème étage). Par contre l'hotel est particulièrement bien placé, juste à coté d'arrèts de bus, d'une station […] de métro (50m à pied) et à 200m à pieds du pont Blackfriars qui offre une vue imprenable sur la Cathédrale Saint Paul. Un très bon hôtel ibis, avec toutes les qualités attendues de la chaine. Les transports allant au centre ville de Londres sont au pied de l’hôtel : Bus + Metro qui vous mène au centre en 3 stations, Train (station Waterloo) à 5mn de marche. Beaucoup de commerces et restaurants à proximité. Les chambres sont confortables et propres, récemment rénovées […] avec une excellente literie. Le wifi gratuit et des PC avec imprimante a disposition dans le lobby sont un vrai plus. On a retenu un léger manque d'insonorisation entre les chambres et la grande distance avec l'aéroport d' Heathrow : 1h de métro ou 2h de bus (si vous avez un vol tôt le matin, je vous conseille plutôt de prendre votre dernière nuit à l'aéroport) Lisez la suite

Très bonne impression, dommage cette porte automatique à l'entrée qui à chaque sortie ou entrée laisse pénétrer un courant d'air gelé (quand grand froid dehors) lorsque on prend le petit déjeuner ou le repas.

Très bon hôtel rapport qualité/prix (nous y avons séjourné 4 nuits) : propre, bon acceuil, chambre bien agencée et literie très confortable neuve. Le plus station de métro à 2 mns à pied. Au final hôtel parfait pour un séjour au coeur de Londres. Recommandé !

Arret de vus au pied de l'hotel et station de métro a 200m. Très propre, très bon acceuil, séjour de 5jours très réussi, arrivés avant 14h et notre chambre était déja prête. Restaurant avec peu de choix a la carte mais on y mange tout de même très bien. Décor très design. Chambre assez spacieuse. Lit très confortable. Parfait pour une petite soirée Londonienne! Pour un week end en couple, idéal ! Pas tres loin du centre, pas trop cher pour la qualité offerte. Hôtel bien situé, proche d'une station de métro. Il y a peu de places pour les petits déjeuners, il faut s'y prendre de bonne heure. L'isolation phonique des chambres est très mauvaise pour un hôtel neuf. L'accueil est bien organisé et le personnel en général est très convivial.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at Ibis London Blackfriars. The staff were welcoming and friendly, rooms airy and clean, breakfast good value for money. Excellent location, an easy enough stroll over the Thames to popular London sights or very short walk to Southwark and Waterloo Tube stations if you don't like to walk. Stopped for 2 nights and from the minute we arrived the staff could not do enough for you, making us feel very welcome. The hotel is located 2 minutes walk from Southwark station (Zone1 on Tube) Easy to get to from Kings Cross. The first night we stayed was to attend the Theatre and this was only £10 in taxi or again you can use the tube which drops […] you on the Strand. The London Eye is only 1 stop away on the tube also. The bar area was excellent and very reasonably priced. Thomas on the bar was brilliant and very friendly and pizzas very good and reasonably priced. Overall I will defo stop again and cant speak highly enough of this hotel. The hotel is new and clean and rooms were very comfortable. Book in confidence you wont be disappointed. Lisez la suite

Had to change room to a plastic bag over smoke detector. Room was cold, rang reception and women asked me how long my house took to warm up. Finally called maintenance after an irrelevant dialogue regarding the quality of my home heating. Maintenance man was great and fixed problems.

A reasonable place to stay, at a reasonable price, in the centre of London

I found the room to be clean, but the towels looked very grubby and the white bedding wasn't as clean looking as I'd have liked. The room was small but well equipped and the bathroom was adequate. However I found it noisy; there was a constant hum from a generator or something similar and I was also kept awake by the plumbing system for the pod bathrooms. […] My partner and I discussed asking for a different room because of the noise issue, but when we returned to the hotel after a day out, we found that the hotel had lost its electricity supply and the place seemed to be in a state of confusion. We found that our room had no emergency light and to top things off, the water supply was off. After going out for dinner, we returned a couple of hours later to find that the problems were still ongoing. Whilst I recognise that this wasn't the hotel's fault, I did think that it was handled badly. The public toilets quickly became unpleasant to use and none of the taps were working. The bathroom in the room was difficult to use as there was no light whatsoever in there and again, there was no water supply. The hotel didn't offer us bottled water and we had to ask the restaurant if we could borrow a candle light. We were offered no apology for the inconvenience, no offer of a partial refund and there was no offer of finding us alternative accommodation. I wouldn't stay again. Lisez la suite

We stayed here on Saturday night (16 Feb).I chose this hotel first and foremost as it was really well situated. It ended up being even better than expected in this respect: waterloo is only minutes away on foot and the south bank is not much further. The price was also very reasonable given what we could pay for other hotels in the region. Staff were […] friendly and helpful, though we didn't have cause to interact with them much - main example wad that, when we asked about bag storage on the day if departure they offered to let us keep our room for free did pretty much as long as we wanted. There were a couple of negatives: one, we must have been very close to done water piping as I was woken a couple of times during the night by what sounded like a waterfall in the walls. The other flaw was the bed itself which was not especially comfy and, as seems to be the case in every hotel I stay in, we just couldn't get the temperature quite right. The hotel was in a decent location near the tube station and close to central London. It was generally clean but there were some things which let it down badly and we felt it was very overpriced for what you received. The pictures make it look like a boutique hotel but in reality the rooms are very cramped (my wife likened it to a prison cell), you […] get liquid soap which is always a bad sign, the bathroom was a "pod" (a single piece of plastic plumbed in obviously to save money and it showed) and the heating didn't work effectively (took 10 mins to come on and then turned itself off when it felt like it). Not enough irons and ironing boards, I requested one at check in, a further two times that evening and again twice the following morning. One was not to be found which meant I had to wear my previous days shirt for business meetings, the Aldgate Ibis has ironing rooms which works better. This hotel is great. The building was very new and stylish and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The beds were comfy and it was nice and quiet. The staff were very helpful and even offered us late check-out for free (we were staying for one night and checking out on a Sunday so I don't know whether this was a factor in the fact it was free) which […] was great. PRO's: Hotel is brand new meaning everything is still nice and undamaged/undirtied by those hotel guests that think a hotel room is something that they can mess up. The lobby area is nice with a decent bar. CONS: In two of the rooms of our group, the heating was not working properly. And in January in London that can be a bit of a bother. No room service […] - they sell food from the restaurant, however nobody to bring it down. It is rather annoying to have to go down and pick up your own tray and take it back to the room. Used this hotel while on a business trip. It had everything I needed, a great location, excellent staff, one of the best beds I have ever slept in, a fantastic reception and bar to hang out in and a cleverly designed, immaculate room. This was a new hotel and it looked good. The room was confortable and good for the price we paid, but there was only one blanket and the toilet was really basic with no soap, tooth paste, etc., just the towels.
