On the street side, you hear loud traffic all night. Floor of hotel room not clean. Broken pipes closed the dining room. English plumbing very finicky; impossible to set water temperature in shower -scalding or cold. air conditioning did not work in room; only fan. From the moment the valet meets you in the driveway, you know you are in for a first class experience. I've been looking for a great, 5-star hotel in LA other than the 4 seasons and I think I've found it. The hotel definitely has the "cool" look and feel. I was staying on the 11th floor in a suite. The room was just impeccable - TV/sitting area and a bedroom area. Beautiful, wood floors. Clean, nice in everyway. I ordered breakfast room service and […] other than being ridiculously expensive (what do you expect), it was terrific. They got one of my orders wrong one morning and they corrected it quickly without making any attempt to convince me that I ordered incorrectly. Had dinner at Mr C restaurant (same menu as Cipraini in NYC) and it was excellent. Guest get 20% off so that was a nice surprise. Good crowd and energy. The gym was just ok for a 5-star hotel - it was in the basement which was a bit drab, but all the machines were there and it was just fine. The location is in a neighborhood close to Beverly Hills. Not quite in the center, but away from the madness. Valet parking was easy, and we could walk to the shopping areas which were 10 minute away. Lisez la suite

Love this place! This was our second long term stay here (a week both times) and we love it here. We end up in LA for my wife's work and the way we feel here is like this is our home away from home. the hotel is nice, the room especially has clean lines and soft linens. Breakfast could be improved, though. The selection of breakfast items were standard, the croissant was not crispy.

My family and I enjoyed staying at Mr. C. Beverly Hills. The staff was very helpful and cordial at all times. The room is small but comfortable. Not enough closet or drawer space but it was certainly manageable. I would stay there again in the future.

The staff were absolutely wonderful, very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The only downsides were that the room we stayed in was on Pico which was extremely noisy so had to use the ear plugs. The other thing was that every time anyone opened or closed their door our door also sounded like it was opening so had to lean a suitcase on it. Location wise it was a good 20min walk to Rodeo Dr shops. There was a great fish grill cafe across the road, salmon was amazing. There was also a pharmacy and supermarket. I've had the pleasure (and privilege) of traveling the world, and I can confidently say, Mr. C is the very best hotel experience I have ever experienced. (BTW, Mr. C stands for Mr. Cipriani -- Google it!) Whether you're a "regular person" or an "A-List celeb," you won't know the difference -- because from the moment you arrive at this aesthetically […] beautiful hotel -- in every sense of the word -- the staff simply treats you like pure 24K gold. Weary from my early morning flight from Chicago, once I entered the hotel was taken care of before I even knew what was happening. About 1 minute from entering the lobby, I was given a Bellini (the best I've ever had) as the staff checked me in and had my luggage delivered to my room. The room -- perfection. Very "old Hollywood" -- down to the high thread count bed linens to the perfectly appointed decor. It felt like I'd entered the condo I'd always dreamed of. Huge flat screen HD TV, fully stocked bar -- and we're not talking about soda and domestic beer -- but Patron, Grey Goose, the finest sparkling water, good champagne and countless other high end products. Lovely experience at Mr. C. Rather than checking at the counter, you sit at a stylish bar, are offered a drink/etc, as someone takes your information/credit card. The staff is extremely helpful - especially Rick, a bellman. The concierge was slightly brittle, and the morning staff on Saturday seemed less prepared/professional than their midday/midweek […] counterparts: A young woman at the desk offered to print my boarding pass, yet didn't know how. And the young man outside welcoming guests in his black suit said 'these people don't know how to follow directions' about a driver. It's a poor idea to disparage anyone at all to a guest. He also offered directions to the airport, but was insufficiently informed about 'Carmaggedon' which was a big deal that day. Those are exceptions, however. The barman, the bellmen, the valets, front desk staff, and house keepers were all charming and attentive. The rooms are extremely well designed, so the few flaws they do have stand out. For some reason, there are no sheer curtains on the huge balcony doors. So for privacy, one must close the heavy curtains, and do without natural light/the gorgeous view. That's a real shame. Also, the bathroom is well fitted, if small, but both my basins had terrible drainage. There was a some excess noise because I was above the valet/exterior to restaurant, but it wasn't too bad. The hotel is beautiful but very understaffed....phone calls to the reception and houskeeping went unanswered, The concierge was not able to do what was needed as he had did not have enough help(there needs to be 3 full time concierges )..... I loved the decor, the rooms, the complimentary drinks.....and the outside seating area...

The valet staff, concierge and restaurant staff were great. We had a problem with the temperature in the room being reset by the maid, and never really having enough towels, and the shower mat disappearing. it took 3 complaints by me to have these issues fixed. Most were minor, the issue is that it took 3 complaints to fix them.

This hotel feels fashionable and slick as soon as you walk in the door. The decor is great, the rooms are fun, the views are spectacular. The only gripe we had was in the bathroom. Since there is no shower door, the entire bathroom is flooded every time you take a shower, so that you have to use all of your towels in order not to slip across the floor. […] A minor, but regular, annoyance. It was a mini-vacation and we visited Disney, Universal Studios, and various other sites around LA. We were very impressed with the high level of service and professionalism by the hotel staff. It was convenient and the menu had delicious and healthy selections. The breakfast wait staff made you feel like a movie star. I frequently travel worldwide and I am usually not impressed with American hotel staff, when compared with nice hotels in Europe and Asia. However, the employees at Mr. C were outstanding. The were some of the best that I have seen in a USA based hotel. The hotel is not centrally located in Beverly Hills. It is on the edge of Beverly Hills. Having booked this hotel based on previous reviews, I'm delighted to report that my stay was practically perfect. The rooms are large, modern, stylish and very comfortable. We had an upgrade to a room facing the Holllywood Hills, and yes you could see the famous sign. The restauant is very popular with locals, and for good reason. My only wish, that the iItalian menu....a description of what the meal was. I thought I knew what I had ordered, but I was wrong! That said the food was fabulous, and the panda coat was to die for. I always like to stroll on holiday and for us, it was a pleasant walk to Rodeo Drive although a free house car is available for those who prefer to spend more time shopping.
