Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Idéalement situé sur union square permet de visiter les principaux sites à pied. Le cable car passe devant la porte. Le bus à deux pas (ligne 5) qui traverse S.F. d'est en ouest permet de se rendre directement vers Golden Gate Square. De préférence, choisir une chambre au delà du 6ème étage si le bruit dérange. A deux pas d'Union Square. Une des trois lignes de Cable Car passe juste devant, ce qui est très pratique pour se rendre au Fisherman's Wharf. Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais bien agencées. Elles sont très propres et calmes. Le personnel du restaurant est très sympathique, n'hésitant pas à nous faire des petits cadeaux (un jus d'orange par […] ci, deux tranches de toast par là !!!). Très bien situé. Desservi par deux lignes de Cable Car. A deux pas de Chinatown et de Market Street, où passent les bus et les tramways qui desservent toute la ville. Bon niveau de confort et de prestations (petit déjeuner (non compris, mais de bonne tenue), possibilité de déjeuner ailleurs, tout près de l'hôtel avec des prestations identiques), alors, […] autant déjeuner à à l'hôtel. Bar ouvert jusqu'à 21 h, sympa, quand on rentre de ballade. Si on demande une chambre au calme, on peut en obtenir une en retrait de la rue Powell, célèbre pour ses "cable cars". "Le Chancellor de San Francisco: EXTRA à tous points de vue."
Du 27 au 31 octobre 2010. Très bien situé près de Union Square (et de Macy's). Le cable car (un must) qui circule devant l'hôtel nous conduit directement au Fisherman's Wharf: Expérience unique. Personnel courtois et soucieux sauf la représentante asiatique du comptoir des excursions:. Ne la dérangez surtout pas pour demander un renseignement. Hôtel […] très bien tenu, notre chambre donnait sur un escalier intérieur, donc aucune lumière de l'extérieur, mais c'est le seul inconvénient (mineur somme toute si vous désirez visiter la ville et ne pas flâner dans la chambre). À côté de l'hôtel, le restaurant "Sears", excellent mais assez dispendieux. Bref, cet hôtel vaut son pesant d'or à plusieurs points de vue, n'hésitez pas. Les lieux touristiques de la ville sont assez dispersés, alors inutile de chercher un hôtel "près de tout". Le Chancellor est central ,et donc un excellent point de départ pour toutes vos visites. The chancellor was a lovely hotel conveniently located just off union square. Rooms were small but had everything you needed flat screen tv, hair dryer, iron, safe, fridge and a large seperate closet which easily fitted our two large suitcases etc which meant they weren't in the room itself. Lovely european-style hotel adjacent to Union Square. Right on the Cable Car line and 4 blocks from BART, so easy to get around. This is a great hotel, the staff were lovely and really helpful, the room was great with the biggest walk in closet I've ever seen. It is just off Union Square so ideal for any sightseeing you'll do while visiting the city and very close to an array of fab shops. My only very slight complaint was that I was in a room which must have been near some old […] pipes and they "clanged" occassionally through the night waking me up, if you are a light sleeper it may be useful to take earplugs just in case you get the room I stayed in. All aspects of the hotel were great. Cleanliness, condition of hotel, location, great staff, amenities, comfortable bed, however, the room was extremely cold. (only a worry in the winter). I had turned the heater dial on when I arrived back from dinner, and continued to be cold. The setting choices where 1 thru 5 (not a thermostat). I put it at 3. An […] hour later, I was still freezing. I called guest services, and was told that they do not turn on the main unit until 10:00pm. I was still freezing at 10:30pm, and called them back, and they informed me that I can use the space heater in the closet to help get rid of the chill. Never even new it was there!!!
