Hotel service was poor, with only partial room restoration, and no replacement coffee, tea or creamers. Usual munchies / drinks in the room were very expensive, as were meals in the small restuaraunt. Room were a little too warm (Nov), and the TV controls less than friendly. Not bad, but nothing to comment on as really good, either. The location makes it a quick 7 minute walk across the bridges and into the older part of Lyon. If you don't like to walk places, you will have to find one of the buses or something, because nothing of great interest seemed really close to the hotel. It was a decent half-way point between the […] train station and the rest of Lyon. Hotel staff quiet - not rude, just not very welcoming either. Overall, you could do worse and you might be able to do better, depending on the price. If nothing else really catches your eye, this one should do fine for 2 or 3 nights. Lisez la suite

I am surprised that the hotel has changed its name from Mercure Lyon Wilson to the present name since our stay in late September. Anyway it was a nice 3-star hotel, centrally located near the river, and we could walk to all attractions and shopping districts. We did not need to use any public transport except between the train station when we had to […] take our luggage with us. Our room was good size and had a good bathroom. Internet was free. We had an in-room safe; and tea and coffee making facilities. The staff was friendly and spoke English. Just across the road from the hotel, Restaurant "Chez Pierre" which opened about 8p.m. for only 5 nights served nice meals. The hotel staff would be able to recommend other eateries across the river.
