Great large family room.

Quiet and friendly

Friendly staff and a very large quiet room. Had very good night's sleep. The hotel is set in a suburban area away from the centre of Alfreton but it means it was very quiet with trees and a recreation ground behind. The staff were very helpful with a sense of humour. Made sure I had exactly what I needed for breakfast.

Great value and large room.

Lovely large room, well appointed. Pity the radiator and mirror light didn’t work. Great value, easy check in. Would definitely stay again

Night away

Great no frills stay. Room was an excellent size with 1 x king and 2 x singles. Just off the motorway the other side to the designer outlet and nearby to Derbyshire attractions.

Derbyshire break!

Enjoyed our stay at Boundary. Staff were brilliant especially on Sat 1st April when the place was very crowded, no hassle at all. Heating was not working in the hotel itself but fan heaters had been provided which did the job well. Location excellent for exploring the surrounding districts, in particular Matlock Bath in the Sunday afternoon sunshine.

VERY GOOD VALUE

Good sized family room that was clean, spacious and comfortable. The room was a bit warm in spite of the windows being open. Breakfast was good although I would like to see more choice for the continental selection - it was a little limited. Very helpful and friendly staff - would I stay here again? Yes I would.
Jamie, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

One deficiency is lack of an elevator. We had a heavy bag to lift up the stairs. Otherwise our experience was pleasant. Hotel room was very spacious, with a sofa inside, and a king size bed. Parking was free and convenient. That's a restaurant and pub. We went there mostly for sleep so can't comment on other facilities.

MYSTERY

Booked several months ago, but was at first told "There is no booking" then later told that it had been cancelled -which we had NOT done. We had no email saying it was cancelled rather we had a confirmation on 13/3 plus our profile still had it listed as a live booking. Still trying to solve this mystery…. As the hotel was full, we had to go to another hotel for the first night and it was at more than twice the price of our Boundary booking for 2 nights. All praise to Matt the duty Manager who did his best to find us a place for the night ringing round and checking online and then kindly gave us dinner on them. Helped a lot with our stress levels after a long days travelling!
Susan, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Room fine except poor water pressure in shower
Jonathan, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Loud music at 18th birthday party in function room under hotel bedrooms until late at night so hotel guests cant sleep. Management unwilling to help they prioritise the party over the hitel and pub. We also had food in the restaurant which took over an hour to arrive from a limited menu also due to the party. Shame as its a nice place but the management have their priorities wrong. New manager required.

10/10 Exceptional

Great budget hotel next to nice pub.

We booked the family room whilst on a trip to the Peak District a little further than we thought it would be but thats because the map shows as the crow flies and the roads arnt very fast in that area so took 50 mins from dovedale. The room is a great space the kids have a little separate bit with two singles and with a second tv so gives mum and dad a bit of piece , shame it doesn’t have a proper door or even a curtain so can’t hear the tv but otherwise great idea. The room was very nicely presented better than a lot of travelodges. The bathroom was a little dated but clean and tidy. Tbh my only gripe would be the shower was a bit useless as no power behind the spray but very commen in hotels they just seem to not have the power when multiple occupancy. Otherwise perfect place for a budget stay. The adjoining pub was fab, nice food and decent prices and they had a pub quiz which was fun. For the low price we paid I was really pleasantly surprised. 👍👍

10/10 Exceptional

Honestly felt like I had to write a review as it was a great stay. the Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and made the visit. They were extremely understanding when I made an error in my food choice and helped me pick something else, reassured me that the mistake was honest and were so polite about it. This is customer service at another level 10/10

6/10 Good

never had breakfast room was ok and was clean shower was just a trickle only 2x towels left for family of 4 room did not get cleaned during the 2 night stay king bed is two beds together and there different ones was way to soft and had few springs popping out the side which got me
Kenny, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Convenient

The rooms are basic but a good size, it's doesn't feel too secure as the front door is always being left open by 'locals' and quite often people stood out the front smoking.
