Elm Grove Country House

Great place to stay, quirks of an old country house just added to the experience. Lovely friendly staff nothing’s too much trouble and breakfast was great. The gardens and grounds very pretty and fabulous location for Tenby

After a bit of a challenge finding the hotel, I was delighted with the welcome and service offered by the team at Elm Grove. Whilst they seem to be set up for couples breaks, they were really accommodating around my different requirements (work trip, early starts) by making a breakfast up overnight and providing coffee free of charge when I was working at the hotel. The hotel had high-quality toiletries provided and a separate dressing room. The wifi isn't great, but there's not a huge difference between here and anywhere nearby - this isn't the sort of place you'd go to if you were looking to stream films in your room. Elm Grove has a tennis court and plenty of space for bowls, croquet, etc and offers equipment for all of these. There were sensible covid precautions in place, which were not overwhelming.

Lovely stay in a very peaceful setting. Hosts were very welcoming. Lovely to be able to walk around the grounds and use the tennis court/ croquet lawn when the weather allowed. Food was absolutely excellent. Near to stunning scenery, great walks and lovely beaches.

We rate this as one of the best accommodation experiences we have ever had in travelling. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms are unique and charming. We wish we could stay longer but we have so much more to see in Wales. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to just take a relaxing break with plenty of things to do a short car drive away in Tenby, Pembroke, Saundersfoot, and more. The food whether for breakfast or dinner is excellent, and the local pub The Sun is worth a visit for a meal for both its food and its quirkiness.

We had a wonderful stay here, Jane & Alan are absolute diamonds! We were warmly welcomed and shown around the property. This period bed and breakfast is well kept and has a wonderful entrance hall. A lounge open to the guests was well stocked with books and DVDs for guests to borrow. Our room was spacious and very well presented. The know suite shower was really great if a little noisy! Our room had a tv and DVD player, a tea tray which was well stocked with tea and coffee. The added touch of loose leaf tea and a tea pot was nice. Nothing was too my trouble for our hosts which is a refreshing change, the breakfast was good. This visit was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, Jane & Alan put a lovely card and chocolates on our table which was such a lovely personal touch. We will definitely be back!

Ideal location for a quiet stay near Tenby.

We were warmly welcomed by one of the owners, who could not have been more helpful, and was enthusiastic about Tenby and the area in general, suggesting some great places of interest, which we visited. The bedroom was clean, quite large, and the ensuite was clean and efficient. Although the building was ready quite old, it has been maintained to a high standard both outside and inside. All the original internal fittings on the ceilings and walls have also been faithfully maintained, together with the very comfortable high backed leather furniture, contributing to a warm welcoming environment.

Great find. Lovely family run hotel, will definitely return.
