Novotel Nadi

The airport shuttle was waiting when I arrived, but even when it was full the driver made us wait another 10 minutes - no idea why. Checking in was slow, no idea why. Welcome drink was just water - I've had fruit cocktails in other Nadi hotels. The room was at the end of the hotel - about a 5 minute walk! The room was too cold - I had to call reception to find out how to turn off the air conditioner - its not at all obvious - a dial next to the phone with no label on it. And even after I'd turned the air conditioner off I couldn't get warm. No spare blankets so I didn't sleep well at all. The floor was covered in sand so I also had a sandy bed - I hate that! Also, the bedside light had bad wiring and flickered when turning on and off - an accident waiting to happen! The shower is in the bath, which I also don't like. My room did have a balcony overlooking lovely garden. It was also very quiet - couldn't hear any traffic (or other guests, but I might have been the only guest at the end of the hotel!) It was also nicely dark with the curtains closed. I checked into Novotel about 8pm and only stayed for the one night - I checked out early the next morning. The porter came promptly and the shuttle bus arrived on time. I didn't use any of the hotel facilities ie restaurant, bar, gym. I didn't see the pool. I have stayed in several hotels around Nadi airport and would not stay at Novotel again. I did not think it was good value for money, & I even got a Secret Price!

Just minutes from Nadi airport this hotel is really convenient and a pleasant surprise, staff are extremely friendly the rooms were very nice and well appointed and we ate at the restaurant and the food was good
