Fist and foremost the hotel is under remodel and should be closed durning the remodel... room was mess when I arrived the smell was awful

The hotel is undergoing renovation. The heat was not working so the room was cold and probably didn't get fixed until the day we left. We didn't sleep well in the morning because of the construction banging. Our bathroom had a chipped toilet seat, the shower head was old and the settings didn't work well, and the paint was chipped off of the soap dish. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. The location is good for being near good restaurants, near chinatown, near the museum district.Hopefully after renovations, everything will be better.

The hotel pool door never worked. You always had to ask the front desk to let you out, which was also kind of a problem, because there was never anyone at the desk. It took a couple minutes of standing there. The front desk was also not very friendly except for at check-in. The hotel lost hot water for a whole morning, so we both had to take ice cold showers. Our bathroom was tiny & smelled like smoke. The public restroom off the lobby was not very clean. The hotel bar/restaurant was the best part of it all.
