The Statler Dallas Curio Collection By Hilton

This was a very comfortable place to stay, very friendly staff

Decided to come to Dallas for the weekend to watch a Cowboys game. I picked The Statler because it looked very nice and had good ratings. I reversed and paid for a room with a city view, but when I got to the room the only thing to “view” out the window was a couple of air handler units. Next, for whatever reason the thermostat in the room didn’t seem to work. No matter how low I set the temperature the room stayed hot. And to top it all off the toilet wouldn’t flush for the first day. Overall the room was okay, the best part was the shower. However for what I paid I expected better, it was definitely not worth the price and next time I’ll be making other arrangements

This is a nice hotel. It is an older hotel that is remodeled. Our room was spacious, but not large. The bathroom had a stand alone tub, long counter space and a large walk in shower. The decor is modern. There was a small closet to hang clothes. The water pressure was lacking and my pillows were not great, too soft. We valet parked, but parking could be an issue, especially for a guest. The building takes up the whole city block, so unloading in the front is very busy. All of that being said, we would definitely stay here again, but bring pillow.

Got to our first room - air wasn’t working- moved to a second room and it was hot too. I was checking out and was asked how it was and i said hot- he said, “oh sorry to hear that” i would think a room that costs that much would be backed up with a commitment of comfort. This hotel has gone down this year... so has it’s service.

Anniversary night downtown, beautiful hotel, but when we entered the room my wife noted the bathroom floor was covered in black hair. called the front desk, they stated it would be dealt with. I also reminded them we had ordered a bottle of red wine as well. We left the room for about an hour and a half, once we returned the floor In the bathroom was still a mess and still no wine. Called again with ZERO resolve.
