We loved our stay. We had a special message in our room from the hotel staff and chips and salsa, which was fantastic. The eco-room had a place to insert your room key beside the entry door to turn on the power. The bathtub was our favorite part of the room. We had great service at Blind Salamander, Crenshaw's, Jim Bob's, Nopales, Texas Spice, Canyons Grill, the adult pool and the fitness center. We tried everything! Three of the four times we visited Velvet Joe's we had less than stellar service experiences. Staff that were unfriendly, not knowledgeable, or unpleasant. We also played two of the golf courses: Fazio Foothills and Coore Crenshaw. Fazio Canyons was members-only when we were there. We loved Foothills, could have skipped Coore Crenshaw, and would have really liked to play Canyons. Everyone we encountered on the range, at the pro shop, starter, beverage carts, etc were all very friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay and value. Would recommend.
