Being a consultant, I spend 50% of my life in hotels.
This one trip is by far the worse hotel experience I ever came across.
We initially booked a 2 night stay with a room which looked to be convenient for 3 people (sofa on picture and option of rollaway bed mentionned available). Checking in at midnight, we are being told there is no roll bed left in the hotel but we still manage to sleep at 3.
The next day, while we are taking a nap, the receptionist wake us up 3 times to tell us we cannot be 3 in the room. Two staff person then show up at our room and threathen us to call the police (this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel which costed us €500 for 2 nights - we are quite amazed by that point).
After begging them to help us find an alternative hotel, we spend our evening looking for one and eventually split ourselves between two hotels.
Two of us remaining in the hotel call in evening as there is no toilet paper in the room. The night receptionist tells us we have to wait till the next morning as he is alone at reception.
I have honestly never come across such bad service in my entire life, especially for a 4 star hotel and for Italy which in my opinion usually offers 5 star service.
