Americas Best Value Inn Putnam

It was a very quiet area. I didn't hate anything about it.

The rooms are a pleasant surprise. Recently remodeled and lobby is updated as well. Only negatives are my room remote didn’t work even after changing rooms and the smell of the smoking rooms escapes into the hallway.

Rooms were clean, a/c's need servicing. Nice beds, good price point.

We checked in and the keys didn’t work, so we had to go back and get new keys. The first room was so hot and the air conditioning wasn’t working. So I walked back down and they gave us the room next door. The next room the cable wasn’t working because the HDMI cord was missing. My husband went into the first room and took the HDMI cord from there to use. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the conditions in the hotel was subpar. Needs updates and maintenance.

The Housekeeping took to long. The service at the desk was slow they made a mistake and tried to say we had to check out next day when we paid for a week stay very unorganized there.

Customer service is not good, no one at desk, no one answers the phone (called 4’s), room phone disconnected, one thin blanket, no extra blankets, had to sleep with clothes on, softball sz hole in wall not repaired, bfast was not worth trying. Key to entrance didn’t work, no one answered phone, so had to go back to front desk in pouring down rain. The price was reasonable but really not worth paying less and being uncomfortable ...

No microwave or refrigerator. Bathroom mirror was dirty.

We stay there when visiting family in the area, can bring the dogs along need that and can request a shower vs shower tub combo. It's clean nothing fancy, but cleaning staff and desk very nice.

Our non smoking room was clean. The staff were very nice.

Clean. No frills. Inexpensive. If you are looking for a basic place to stay, this is it. Comfortable bed, good shower. Breakfast was minimal. Waffles, cereal, a couple of bagels and pastries. No eggs, fruit or yogurt. Fine, but nothing special.
