Holiday Inn Macau

This was a staycation for my girlfriend. Since we can’t travel, she needed a vacation and this was it for her. Upon booking a very reasonable rate I learned that the deposit was more expensive than the room rate. I called and spoke to Vincent- and he was extremely accommodating and lowered the deposit significantly. She was very happy with her stay. Only one ding- she asked the cleaning person to give her a new wine glass and then caught her out of the corner of her eye washing it in the bathroom sink and drying it with bath towels. She called and got new ones from the front desk after. All in all this was a great value and accommodating staff that treated her with respect.

Choice of breakfast wasn’t great and staff were not attentive. We had to ask for the cutlery many times.

We had booked three non-smoking rooms and had fully paid. When we arrived at around 5:45pm, the reception told us that only one non-smoking room remained. Ultimately we could only stay in 2 smoking rooms and 1 non-smoking room. The conditions of the smoking rooms were very bad. They were very smelly and our noses were badly irritated throughout the night and could not sleep.

The location is good. Walking distance to shopping area

牆太薄，沒有隔音。大堂太小，很擁擠的感覺。整個感覺就有點舊舊的，地點雖然很方便但品流有點複雜，感覺一般。

Cheap price, really good location to travel around

Sound proofing is so bad I can hear the next door flipping the light switch. Just stayed one night and checked out. Won’t be returning.

Room small and air-conditioning not running good.

Hotel was great, staff excellent. Room air con was not cool, you cannot change from 24. Were taken aback by 1000mop deposit! Thought we would try restaurant to use up deposit. One was buffet the other chinese. Did not like the look of either but chose chinese because of deposit. We were shocked when the restaurant said we could not charge bill to the room as the front desk said we could. Seems front desk forgot to tell us the chinese place was not part of the hotel!
