I arrived at the hotel around midnight to my smoke detector chirping from a dead battery, I texted the manager (like I was instructed to do since there is no lobby/ worker on site) about it and my text was never even acknowledged so I took the batteries out of the smoke detector. The tv remote was missing, I was able to download the Roku app on my phone to turn on the tv but because of the spotty wifi, I was not able to access my app throughout the day due to others being on the WiFi so I was stuck with the same channel on all weekend. I did not want to turn off the tv once I got it on because I was unsure if I would be able to get it back on, the WiFi would cut out in the middle of the night turning my tv on and off all night. I could clearly hear the people above me moving around their room during the night which kept me and my dog awake the night before a 12 hour drive. The hotel says it is pet friendly but there was no grassy areas around except to cross the street and go in front of an abandoned hotel. I paid for an upgraded balcony room because I thought it would put me on the top floor without people above me so we didn’t hear them. My sliding door to the balcony did not lock and was able to be opened at anytime, which is concerning since I was on the first floor. The light on the outside balcony did not even have a bulb in it to look outside when I arrived. Overall, I was disappointed in my stay and lack of safety measures in place.
