Hotel Everest

Good no frills place by termini.

Superb location, great staff. Easy walk, even with suitcases, from the main train terminal. LOTS of restaurants nearby and even a grocery store right across the street. Staff was very helpful in giving directions to close attractions and restaurants.

This hotel was value for money. The personnel were very friendly, helpful and informative about the famous attractions and how to get there. I would stayed again.

The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, and it was a good price for what we got. The location is a 15 minute walk from the Coliseum and close to the main train station. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. Because the hotel faces a busy street, it can be a bit noisy, although I suspect most of Rome is. Also, the shower was tiny and the Wi-Fi was slow in the room. Hotel felt secure and the rooms were clean. Overall good quality for the price.

We were looking for an adequate room with a private bathroom close to Roma Termini without having to spend a lot, and this is exactly what we got at Hotel Everest. We arrived before check-in so they let us store our luggage there and moved it directly to our room when it was ready. The hotel attendant gave us a map of central Rome and provided us with lots of good information to embark on our sightseeing. The room was pretty tight but we were only there to sleep so it was fine. Didn't hear a lot of noise out in the hall when we were trying to sleep but maybe that was because we were so exhausted from all the walking we did! Note that the hotel desk keeps your room key each time you leave the hotel which can put some people off, but this is pretty common in smaller European hotels. They have several different routers you can connect to so wi-fi was really good. Had to give the desk 6 Euros in cash for the city tax when we checked out which was a little goofy. Why don't they just charge that up front? All in all a good stay and I would recommend this place.
