Amazingly beautiful. Each room is different. Some construction going on to add rooms but did not affect my stay. Breakfast was very good. Lovely rooftop to end your day on. Was with a tour group so did not spend any time walking around the outside of the property for area suggestions.
The location like all Riads are complicated but the hotel is just beautiful well renovated, this is an Aba in general experience if you are looking fir a truly Morocco experience. Keep in mind that they old buildings with limited services on alcohol (only red wine) and all badrooms have a smell, no terrible but is not nice other but is base on the old deer system of the Médina not the hotel, any other ríad would be the same. I would be back.... there is no question
It was very beautiful Riad - we enjoyed our stay. However we were charged for breakfast when we thought it was complimentary and when we arrived she told us breakfast is at 730 so we assumed it was she did not name a price we ended paying $12 each for nothing extroidinary. The most expensive meal we paid for in Morocco
Most amazing place I have ever seen. Great staff and hospitality. Place seems hidden and scary, but don’t be alarmed. Traveled alone with another female friend. People will try to be your guide just politely decline. Breakfast was awesome. Riad is close to Main square. Would recommend.
Gorgeous common areas restored with detail and beauty. Numerous indescribably beautiful interior courtyards. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They work and try hard and they all wear many hats. There are a few things amiss from making this a 5 star property - most in the details. For example, in my bathroom alone, 2 light bulbs were out or flickering, the toilet was broken in three different ways (seat, tank and plunger) and one light was falling out of the plaster. The chrome faucet had dirty water/toothpaste on it from the previous guest. My view (junior suite) was non-existent - it looked out onto a filthy glass panel that the bellman said they would clean but they didn’t. They are actively still doing construction work as of March 2019 and they start loudly at 6:30am. Some of the furniture was covered to protect it and scaffolding was in place with ropes around the pool. The housekeepers were great, but attempted to enter my room 4 times - all before 9am. The hotel description said they have 20 restaurants but I think they meant they had 20 tables / areas in the courtyard. I asked about dinner my first night and they said I have to choose then give them 2-3 hours to shop and prepare it - which is awesome, unless you expect a restaurant on site. I’d stay here again because the staff was so nice, but they need some help (perhaps from a consulatant) to truly make this a 5-star experience.
Beautiful space. Old and charming. Functional guesthouse but some things definitely need updating for this to remain a 5-star accommodation.
Museum and Home. Exquisite details and warm spirit. This riad is an unbelievable experience.
Nicely decorated hotel. Even though the rooms looked a bit aged, but the overall comfort has not been compromised.
The people were super friendly and accommodating, especially Salma (front desk) and Mustafa (waiter). The place itself is beautiful -- covered with amazing tile work on the inside. The breakfast (included) was delicious and plentiful. We were recommended to this place by friends who had stayed in May, when the weather was warm. We were there at the end of November, and it was rainy and cold. The reason I mention this is that this building is not really set up for cold weather! The lobby is very drafty and has an open-air courtyard, close to where you eat breakfast. So it was always cold. Also, our rooms were right upstairs from the lobby and front desk. Since everything is tiled and there are windows that open onto the stairwell (no glass, just wooden shutters), it was quite noisy at night. The beds were ok, not super comfortable. But the location just inside the Medina is perfect for walking everywhere, and the wonderful staff really made our stay pleasant.
Stunning interior, I felt like royalty in an ancient palace, excellent location and very pleasant hotel staff. And all of that at a very reasonable price.
