Hotel Wittelsbach Oberammergau

Very nice hotel! The reception clerk made good suggestions and was very helpful and accommodating. We just stayed one night, and this fit the bill perfectly. Would definitely stay again.

Delightful Hotel right in the City Center with nearby parking. Good Free Breakfast. Awesome young lady at check in. Bed was low but comfortable. No AC but did not need it in August.

The area was very beautiful. Everything closes early. The area in Ettal was beautiful, but in the restaurants, the staff seem like they have a problem with you being there. Very unhappy people and very rude! We went to a restaurant across from Hotel Wittelsbach. Frank, our waiter was the only redeeming person, as far as wait staff are concerned. When we 1st walked into the restaurant, our waiter walked away when we were tring to decode. He never came back. These ate some of the rudest people I've ever met. Such a beautiful area, but the people make one not want to come back. I've been all over the world, these people top the ultimate in rudeness! Stephanie at the hotel was fine. Overall, 2 people were somewhat kind, or at least, decent over three days. We are on our way to Venice. Perhaps Venetians will be a bit happier. Or at least smile and act happy to see you.

Oberammergau is a small town. So distance is not real a problem but this hotel is at the center of the center. Clean, nice and good breakfast.

We had a late check in and the staff was most helpful. The door was opened late for us and we found our room key and the hotel information immediately upon entering the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The breakfast was fine. Felt it was a good value and a great location!

Beautiful Oberammergau, it was snowing and cold but absolutely beautiful. Our hotel was charming and the staff were awesome. There were no taxis available to take us to our hotel, so a very nice man in a cafe, called the hotel and someone came and picked us up. Then when we were checking out, the owner, took us in his own car to the train station. He would not accept any payment or tip. There are so many craftsmen in Oberammergau, everything is absolutely beautiful. The good thing is most of them ship to the USA.
