Maria Elena Hotel

We loved it! Everyone was very sweet, price was incredible, location was central. The room was comfortable and very clean. Our only gripe was the lack of water pressure in the shower but the temperature was great - plenty of hot water!

It was nice, the only problem: Americans and their pot smoking in the room, and only three spaces of parking, but most of the guest don’t have cars so at the next day we had a parking space.

Clean new, nice hotel, two blocks off main street. Loved it. First night realized my A/C didn't work, they upgraded me to a bigger room the next morning as soon as they were notified by me. Water pressure is a bit of an issue as noted by other reviews. My first room had a weak shower, my second a great shower and a bit of a weak sink flow... small probs that I didn't even mention because they weren't that bad. 24C every day I was there; tacos and beers and great restaurants all close by... trip was good!

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, air conditioning worked great...cant complain as the rates are great!

Jesus, one of the owners, greeted me and he epitomises Mexican hospitality. Friendly and polite. I was lucky to get one of the front rooms which are exceptional, but I suspect the other ones are still very good too. It's a couple of blocks back from the main tourist strip which means it is quiet at night and the restaurants are more reasonably priced and authentic. If you want to party, it is safe two minute walk and you are in the middle of all the action and the diving shops.
