Vatican Secret Rooms

Very combative and unfriendly host- never met me at meeting spot. Then kept sending me angry emails, even when I explained that I had moved to a new place; I decided to find a new place after waiting 45 minutes on the sidewalk with all my bags. Oh well! I ended up at a much better place, and hopefully they get their act together and act as friendly as EVERYONE ELSE in ALL OF ITALY. Plenty of very affordable full service hotels available in the area. Lol! Vacation too short to sit around arguing with a tardy innkeeper. Cheers!

Initially the price looked attractive only after I booked in a hurry and on the moved, did I realised that there is a €15 per night cleaning fees supplement to be paid locally. I stayed for two nights for two people and coupled with the local tax of €7 pppn, I had to paid €44 on top. There is no reception at the property so you must call a to arrange for someone to meet you there, the lady we met was really nice & helpful. The place is within walking distance to the Vatican and there are lots of local restaurants & shops nearby which cater for people on different budget, it’s in a safe neighbourhood with good transport links especially buses, the nearest Metro station is about 750m away. The room is one of four in an apartment, we stayed in Rm A with a spacious comfortable double & air con, it has no sofa chairs nor kettle even though there is one available in the public area. The bathroom has a tiny shower only and it’s nicely decorated. I mark down the service because there was none available on the menu!

Everything was according to plan. The only thing to notice is that there is only a door separating the rooms so you hear the TV, mobile phone notifications and alarm clock of the neighbor. This was not a major problem to me.

This was one of the most wonderful places I've stayed. Franco was reliable, so friendly and incredible with all his suggestions. Great location, very clean, comfortable and cute place. I highly recommend this place.

No Air condition during a hot summer day in Rome, this needs to be taken care of. The room is nice and clean, location is not too bad. But, the wifi is weak.
