Eden Cottages

We enjoyed Eden Cottages. It is on the far side of Gilis T, away from the busy Harbour. Our cottage was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and there are nice restaurants by the beach within walking distance. The owner emailed us right after booking to give us directions and information.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at Eden Cottages. It was lovely to wake up to tea/coffee waiting for us on the veranda, and our breakfast was made to order when we were ready; the homemade muesli and fruit was delicious! Wifi was available in the small communal area and there were plenty of books/DVDs to borrow. We would definitely stay here again.

Eden Cottages was an oasis of peace in a very peaceful section of Gili Trawangan. It was only a 2 minute walk to the beach where there is great snorkelling on calm days (although bring some reef shoes as this is a broken coral beach). The staff were helpful with breakfast, organising transport, and jamming (if you bring your own instrument). The grounds were very quiet and you will always have some kitty company if you like. Breakfast comes with eggs fresh laid on the premises by clucking hens. The central common location is always welcoming and quiet with good chairs and many current books (including some on Bahasa Indonesia - bagus bagus). The swimming pool was clean and warm and at night time a fresh breeze blew through the palms, enhanced by soft lighting around the grounds. A great dive shop is around the corner if you are the type of person who likes to go deep. The only tricky thing is navigating back after a night out on the west side of the island...roads back are a tad bit swampy (always carry a flashlight).
