We received a lovely welcome from the owners of this characterful farmhouse along with their cute friendly dog Julia! The farmhouse is in a very quiet village in the middle of nowhere. There didn't seem to be any shops or places open to eat, which was a bit of a worry. Despite our language barrier we were able to communicate well and were offered cold drinks and a meal if we wanted it. After a very hot day in the car we welcomed the thought of eating a meal here. We were shown into the cool dining room and were then served an amazing 4 course meal with wine! We had a large salmon starter, duck for main, large cheese board followed by chocolate mousse! The food was delicious - I really think the owners should advertise the fact they offer food as I'm sure they would get more bookings as a result. Our room was very comfortable with 2 double beds and a single bed with a large ensuite. There was no air conditioning, and we were there in the heatwave of 38 degrees so it was boiling! But in normal temperatures this would not have been a problem. We had a very large breakfast in the morning with a great variety of cheese, bread, eggs, ham, fruit, yoghurt and coffee! The owners gave us frozen lemonade to take with us on our onward journey. Highly recommend this place to stay!
