Econo Express Hotel

Friendly staff, good value “no frills” stay.

Hotel / rooms are new, modern, clean even though small was quite comfortable. There were snacks, sandwiches, soda and beer available for purchase and your convenience. The included breakfast buffet had a great variety and was delicious! This was an incredible value for my overnight visiting friends in Mexico City.

The beds are rock hard even in the upgraded King room I reserved. Didn't sleep well any night because it was like sleeping on the floor. The front desk ladies were very nice and helpful and spoke enough English to be able to understand what I was trying to say in Spanish. There are also a lot of prostitutes in this immediate area all hours of the day and night. Maybe that's what you want, but personally not me. Overall, next time I will pay a bit more for a more comfortable stay.

Therooms are surprisingly large and well laid out. The bathroom lacks sufficient water pressure, however, and the beds are hard as a rock - very difficult to get a good night's sleep. The staff was very accommodating and tried to offer a variety of pillows to help with these issues. The hotel is convenient to Nativitas subway station, a big plus, and a large Walmart is next door. The poorest part of the hotel is the dreadful excuse for a breakfast. The hot foods were cold, and overly salted, the teas were not kept stocked and the coffee was watery. The rolls were stale and the fruit mealy. Not a good breakfast at all. Nonetheless, it is a good hotel generally at a great price. The wifi was pretty reliable.
