We arrived at 330 for check in. Was told room was not ready. They would call when it was. We drove around the porperty from building to building tired from our drive. Checked at 530 no answer. Again told they would call. Finally at 630, three hours after check in time I was switched to a handicap room that wasnt reserved by anyone. That room was freezing. Heater didnt work in the hot tub/bathroom. While it was quiet and the food and drinks were good.. our first night was ruined by waiting hours and then end8ng up uncomfortable and cold. Those logs did not warm the room. Again the staff was friendly but it didnt make up for not being able to relax and nap like planned before dinner. I have mever in my life checked in and three hours later still waiting on a room with no explanation for why we were told check in was 330 or no communication at three hours about it unless i went back in to ask. If i am paying for a room I want the room. Im not sure id come back simply based on that fact.

Good stay, would return in summer!
Good stay for couples getaway from the kids. Went this weekend for my husbands birthday and he loved it! Our room wasnt ready so we waited for two hours touring the resort. Deers everywhere! Love nature but deers near room doors almost about to chase us? Resort needs fencing, remodeling and room upgrades. Improve the resport with new furniture, decor and construcion, it will be 5 stars!

Nice Experience
The resort is nice. The location is in a semi-remote area there are ALOT of deers. To utilize all activities, summer stays might be best. To just cuddle up all day in the room then any season would be enjoyable. The sauna room heat didn't work, so 4 stars.

30 Year Anniversary and return to the Poconos
The hotel was definitely showing its age, but we enjoyed the stay. The breakfast menu was not available, but the buffet was very good. For the room, there were ceiling tiles that were flaking off at random times, falling on the floor and coffee table. The very friendly deer made the experience very enjoyable, eating from your hand and following us back to our room each evening.

Ugly is an understatement!!
I was there for 2 nights the first night the hot tub was dirty so I asked them to clean it but with no answer I went myself to the front desk to ask them to clean it they told me they'll send someone but never did I sent an email that was only answered after my stay, this place is gross, I highly recommend not to book!!

Great place, but could be much better.
This place was everything I thought it would be and more. I will definitely be returning. However there were a few small issues. The biggest one was the fact that the bed rolls away from the headboard. My wife and I tried to cuddle up in bed to watch a movie and we could not sit up against the headboard at all without the bed sliding away causing all the pillows and almost ourselves to fall in between. Second, we ordered lunch to be delivered to the suite. After calling 3 times(no answer the first two, then called the front desk and they put me thru to an actual person) I was on hold for what felt like 10 minutes before I could put my order in. They said it would take 45 minutes for delivery as they were very busy, no problem. However when the food finally arrived it was cold, like it had been sitting out waiting for someone to bring it up. Finally, when housekeeping came in with fresh towels and to refill our little coffee station, they saw that we had used the regular coffee and not the decaf. What did they do? Replaced the missing regular coffee with more decaf. I couldn't believe it. They either weren't thinking at all, or just didn't care. I called the front desk and they did take care of it rather quickly. Within I'd say 30 minutes there was a knock at the door like the police serving a warrant, and around the outside handle was a bag with regular coffee pods in it. This place is great, but for the money they charge, they could put more effort into the little things.

The wildlife around the area was wonderful and the night time employee who checked us in was very nice and helpful, as well as the woman who worked the gift shop. We stayed in one of the rooms with the heart shaped whirlpool tub and were really looking forward to using it but then we noticed that the jets for the tub looked extremely dirty, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in some time. We ran a towel across the jets and the towel had a brown residue on it after. Needless to say we did not use the tub after that, which was extremely disappointing as we were really looking forward to that. The next morning at checkout we brought this up to a supervisor and showed her pictures of the jets and she looked at the photos, asked what our room number was, and then walked away, and didn’t follow up with us after that.

This place was beautiful, me and my bf really enjoyed it as his birthday get away. It was so romantic and our room was amazing. lots of reviews said it was outdated and old looking but our room was perfect. The buildings themselfs do look old and outdated but it was very clean. There was deers evrywhere and we got to feed them. They had activities to do evryday so you didnt have to leave for anything. Only issue was food , not alot of options. Spooners saved us lol fast and easy place to eat. Breakfast was free but dinner was not.
