First, the hotel itself is clean and the staff were very nice all the time, especially the ladies at the pool. Nice thing, everyone gets a free water bottle a day, not much but very handy in the Florida heat.
We arrived at 11am and our room wasn't ready until 4pm but they offered us an upgrade to the 10th floor for 10$ a day and that room was ready so we could go to the beach right away. Also, 10th floor rooms all come with a free bag of snacks every day. The downside is that we would constantly hear the elevator's motor. I was not enough to prevent us from sleeping but it can get annoying sometimes.
The location is quite boring since it is 30 minutes of walking distance to Hollywood beach, where all the action is (restaurants, shops, and more). On the other side, right next door is a wonderful local Argentinian bakery open from 6am to 10pm offering all types of coffee, sandwiches, breakfasts and some delicious pastries, all for a very cheap price. There is also a very good Italian pizza joint where you can easily feed a family of four for less than 50$. Then, crossing the bridge, there is a giant Walmart where we bought some croissant, cheese, pre-cooked bacon, yogourt, and all the rest to make our own breakfast in the hotel room. Without it, we would have busted our budget because the prices for everything are really high everywhere tourists shop.
Tips : get the Ride Circuit app for 1$ per person lifts to Hollywood beach and downtown.
