2/10 Poor

It was an old building with worn-out furniture. The toilet was dirty, and the mattress was old and unclean. The service and staff behavior were good, though. I think the place was expensive for what it offered. The hot water worked well.

The bar itself and the staff - good. Breakfast - None Room - No soap. Heaters - Very noisy Couldn't get out of my room. It took me 45 minutes when a lady walking past the hotel helped me..

Average

Room we stayed in was comfortable but tired, weekend music was loud but finished at 11pm, staff could not do enough for you unfortunately we stayed while a manager change over so no food available, little cafe next door claires kitchen is recommended, nice micro pub down high st, the Brunel suited our needs and price was very reasonable
Robert, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

Disgusting

The worst place we have stayed in years. Played dance music till 11:30pm every night, sheets had blood on them, bathroom had black grime around the shower/bath. Stay well clear

The Brunel Inn Saltash

Really spacious bedroom and made such a nice change staying in a pub rather than the normal Premier Inn / Travel Lodge etc.

We have stayed here before, our third time now. Here in Saltash to visit my brothers and this weekend, Saltash Regatta! As the Brunel is located in the high street, it has all the facilities built in around it.

Very very disappointed

Paid for a a deluxe room and it was definitely not deluxe.towels were poor the whole experience was very uncomfortable didn’t sleep well at all 😩 was not worth £95 that we paid and that was just for the room

Not bad.

Towels didn’t smell great. No soap. Very hot in the rooms. Quite basic. Fine but wasn’t amazing value. Moretti was great on tap. Pool table was good. Staff were good. Friendly

Our double room at this hotel was airless, stuffy and smelt stale. The windows wouldn’t open and it was very hot and humid weather. A double room with only 1 bedside lamp. Dirty towels from a previous resident in the bathroom, bath panel adrift from the bath, 2 mismatched cups. Overall a very tacky experience. We liked Saltash and the cafe across the road was lovely for breakfast.

Room was clean but tired, but good location. Little things like a shelf in the bathroom required plug in sink needed mending. How to switch on bedside lamp was not clear. Ventilstion in room was poor. No breakfast but had a good one at the railway station.

In the bar young people were vaping filling the room with vape emissions/fragrance, not sure that is allowed? I appreciate the saying you get what you pay for £61.00 per night, alas we found there was no bath/shower towels, (that was resolved). The noise was caused by other residents who were inconsiderate (not the owner)

I wish we hadn't stayed

It might be better during the week but there is live music on Friday and Saturday nights. A sign mentioned that they would normally stop by 11pm but they were still playing and singing until 0:35am. Our room was just on top of the 'entertainment' area and the bass and singers were very loud and you could hear the door banging shut whenever someone left the pub. Beds and mattresses were very uncomfortable and smelly, the towels were not very clean. The window was single glazing so you could unfortunately hear all the guests chatting/shouting in front of the pub. Bathroom had seen better days, no soap was provided and there was no ventilation. The fan was so clogged up it no longer worked. It might be ok for guests who can no longer drive home after a night out, but if you are hoping for a good night's sleep better stay elsewhere.
