Go elsewhere.
Arrived after a long drive, and on check-in, was not told what time breakfast was served.
Went down the next morning to find it had finished.
Staff couldn’t refund because Hotels.com hadn’t sent the funds yet.
Contacted Hotels.com to be told “can’t refund the breakfast as it was free”.
I paid for a room, and selected breakfast as an option at £24, but according to Hotels.com, that means instead of a room costing £42, I selected a room for £66, that included a free breakfast.
This WAS NOT the case. I paid an extra, optional charge of £24 for one breakfast (not exactly cheap!), but Hotels,com re-word it to make it look like I’ve selected a different room with free breakfast (oddly enough, the exact same room as one without).
Wasn’t told about breakfast times on arrival (and in all fairness, I forgot to ask).
Room was freezing cold even with the pathetic little electric heater on full (barely gave out any heat at all).
After spending some time speaking with the staff about the breakfast issue, returned to my room to quickly change and get my bags, to get a knock on the door at 10:04 and greeted with the words “check out is 10am. That is now”.
Rude? Appalling. Gave no appreciation that I’d spent 20 minutes at reception waiting for staff to try and find out what had happened about breakfast…..
Definitely won’t return.
Won’t be using Hotels.com again.
