Upon arrival for checking in I waited at the front desk b4 I was eventually greeted by a staff member. She appeared to be annoyed with an unpleasant attitude. She explained that most rooms were not available until 3pm. However, she indicated that a room on the 1st floor was available, I accepted the room. Upon entering the room the order was very smelly, the room was very cold and dark. Actually the room was a dump and the health department should close the room for occupancy. After trying to make the decision of what should I do. That when this loud noise continued to be very noticeable, I looked out the windows and discovered the heating/air was directly at the window. At this point I took my belongings and went to the front desk. I was greeted by a young man who was very professional and completely attentive to my issues. He informed me that he would exchange my room and the room would be ready in a few minutes. I was very pleased with this transaction, therefore, I asked if I could leave my luggage while I went to lunch. When I returned the keys for the room were waiting with my name. This room was in much better condition. Sorry I don’t have the names of the staff, however, I want to express my appreciation to the young man who was so helpful. During my stay all my contacts with this gentleman were positive. On the other hand the 1st young lady who assigned me to the 1st room isn’t an asset to the Springhill Suite. I arrived on Saturday @ approximately 1:15 pm.
