A Great hotel a Great Price
I highly recommend the hotel. 1. It is very well-staffed (over-staffed really) and everyone is extremely helpful and gracious. Your concerns, questions, and requests are immediately acted upon. 2. It is clean and comfortable. 3. It is in an extremely good location, and is just short of one block from the beach, and close to bars, restaurants, stores, etc. and to Ipanema. 4. the neighborhood (including the block from the beach, and Rua de Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, parallel to the beach ) has tons of foot traffic and is safe at least till around 9PM, when stores close. 5. There are safes in each room. 6. Our room was quiet, even though facing the street. 7. Wifi quality was usually good, but sometimes slow. 8. Our room and bathroom were very clean, but there was some rust and mold on the edges of the shower door. - The hotel is very-well maintained, but can use a makeover. I found this a minor inconvenience. 9. The pool is 4 1/2 feet teep (1.5m), and 15 ft long - more of a huge tub than pool. It takes 2-4 strokes to swim a length. The gym is a small room with 2 treadmills, 1 bike, a few light free-weights, and no scale.
All in all, this is a great place to stay at a great price, and I will always come back here.
