Melbourne and related destinations

Beneath Victorian-era arcades, hidden laneways reveal street art masterpieces and tiny cafés where baristas discuss coffee like sommeliers talk wine. The Queen Victoria Market buzzes with vendors selling everything from kangaroo jerky to vintage vinyl. Cricket fans make pilgrimages to the hallowed Melbourne Cricket Ground, while theater-goers flock to shows in the East End. SEA LIFE Melbourne's underwater tunnels bring you face-to-fin with sharks, and Crown Casino's riverside complex dazzles with restaurants rather than gaming tables. Great Southern Hotel Melbourne

Great Southern Hotel Melbourne

4/10 Poor
"Staff were friendly. However, the building turned the ac off for the entire hotel following complaints from a few guests of being cold one day due to the weather. When asked about this, they said they can't turn on ac in select rooms, and instead gave us a fan for our room. Additionally housekeeping only came the first day of our 5 day stay. "

The Langham, Melbourne

8/10 Good
"The hotel was very pleasant. Check-in was smooth and the room was clean and spacious. However, upon check-in, the television was on with the Langham introduction addressing me as Mr. despite my booking being for a female guest. This was an unacceptable oversight. I lodged a complaint after the second night and the issue was rectified. Apart from the hotel, the pool was underwhelming and was also very crowded. The highlight was the room and the attractive entrance decorated for Easter."

Buffet breakfast had a good selection available and the chef was friendly and also happy to also cook omelette for guests if requested.
