Was honestly such a good experience! The staff was amazing and super welcoming when we arrived. The shared bathrooms weren’t bad at all, super accessible as everyone’s out doing their own things for the most part. Super close by to a lot of different things and even the subway if you need to travel up or downtown!! We had such a great time and it was very easy to manage. Will definitely stay here again if we get the chance!! P.S. The 7-11 right next door was a nice touch too!!

Great value for the price, the room was clean, didn’t see a single bug (big seller for me!!), and the staff was helpful and respectful. Great for solo travelers, the room had an air conditioner and provided a wonderful, central rest stop while spending most of the time adventuring around the city.

This place is basic but you know that coming in. No tv in the room etc. It was clean, the bed was comfy and not too noisy. The shared bathroom was clean. The staff were really helpful - thank you so much. Will return next time I am in NYC.

Our stay was short but very pleasant. Arrangements are similar to those in a hostel abroad. One thing we were not aware of before booking was the microwave is for vegetarian use only. We were not allowed to reheat our takeout. Staff suggested the 7-eleven next door, but per management microwave use is for food purchased onsite.

This is basically a hostel, with tiny rooms and tiny shared bathrooms. My window looked over the street, which was noisy all night. Cheap and cheerful. Do not take your wife to this hotel!

It is quite literally a room with a bed and very little space to maneuver around. The shared toilet rooms are quite laughable. A normal sized human cannot fit into these areas. I had to stand up to urinate because it's impossible to close the door if you attempt to sit. It's very nosy, which is to be expected in NYC, but it's so loud outside of the window that I felt like I was sleeping outside. The only way to slightly cancel out that noise, is to turn on the A/C window unit. I could not access the safe in the room so I can't speak to that. The mini fridge felt cool but after seeing a roach in the sink I was turned off from putting anything in there. I also did not use the shared showers. It seemed more spacious than the toilet rooms so that may be a better option to urinate if need be. I paid for 2 nights but checked out a day early. Unfortunately, since it was after their check out time, I was told that I would not be reimbursed for the remaining time. Chelsea Rooms is not somewhere I would ever return, but to each their own.
