Great stay on our honeymoon, the hotel went the extra mile with wine, sweet treats and a lovely note. Happy hour was great, wine, beer, soft drinks and yummy meats and cheeses 5-6pm. Great location, only downside is lack of free parking/only 4 spaces but payable parking is nearby so nothing drastic.
SĂ„ underbart stĂ€lle! NĂ€ra allt men Ă€ndĂ„ lugnt.
The Dairy Private Hotel was our favourite accommodation of our whole south island trip. The staff were the most helpful, gave us a tour of all the amenities upon arrival, made sure we were well looked after and even gifted us a treat for our honeymoon! They do a happy hour 5-6pm each day and put out snacks and wine for the guests to enjoy in the lounge. Breakfast was simple and of excellent quality. The art deco theme of the hotel made us love returning to it after a day of sightseeing. The only con is the parking situation - there's not a lot of it at the hotel and it costs extra. However, they do have extra spots in the multi level carpark on Man St that we were able to use for the same cost.
Lovely small boutique hotel, continental breakfast was great, staff were helpful and friendly. Room was nice, included snacks and drinks were welcome. Hot tub with fab mountain view. We recommend you stay here, if you arrive by car make sure you book a space directly with the hotel as parking in area is more tricky (although the is a public car park nearby)
Lovely hotel and highly recommend. Hot tub was fantastic and loved all the lovely attention to detail. We kind of missed happy hour as we didnât know about it but got the last ten mins and looked fab. Think there was complimentary hams and cheeses etc which would have been a yummy treat. Great hotel, right in the heart of Queenstown. We didnât realise you need to let them know ahead of booking if you need a parking space but wasnât an issue for us. It does cost an additional $20, not a negative but just something to be aware of.
Really lovely small hotel. Great location, gorgeous room, friendly and helpful staff and lovely lounge to have a glass of wine or a cup of tea and meet fellow guests. Would definitely stay here next visit to Qtown
This is a tricky review to write, because we did enjoy the endearing hosts at the hotel and the quirky decor, happy hour, snacks and fridge in the room, and perfect location of the property. However, we have stayed in many 5-star hotels and this is one of the most expensive. At these prices, one expects amenities above and beyond. For example, there were no bathrobes or luxury amenties in the room, no turn-down services, makeup mirror, no concierge to help with bookings and local advice, etc. Many of the things you come to expect at this price point were simply lacking. We did have a lovely stay nonetheless--just be prepared for the price and enjoy.
