Has seen better days but beautiful settings
Yes, as many commentators point out, this hotel has seen better days, it is in bad need of a good overhaul, but for the price what do you expect? It is a weekend destination for Brazilian families, who drink and party around the pool all day and night. The beach is beautiful if you do not venture too far towards the neighbouring hotel under permanent construction, which is inhabited by people you might not want to associate with. Imira is away from restaurants and other businesses, although a quick cab ride (or a 50-minute walk) will get you to civilization in Ponta Negra. The breakfast buffet is copious and one can easily get a healthy start-of-the-day from it. Sandwiches ordered by the pool, in contrast, are little short of disgusting and take ages to arrive (one of us threw up after ingesting one). The hotel tries to increase its restaurant business by forbidding guests from bringing food on the premises. Forget about the gym and sauna, neither is in working order Overall: cheap rates, cheap building, beautiful setting.
