Foremost, I like to thank Expedia for their support. In late 2017, I booked a hotel weeks ahead through Expedia. However, in January when I contacted the hotel few days before the stay, I was told they could not find my reservation, and also they cannot accept Expedia payment. I contacted Expedia and we cancelled the reservation. Eventually, I settled for The Sojourner by Genesis after Expedia asked me to select another one. To my surprise, I got this hotel at a reasonable price (almost half of the initial). I stayed at The Sojourner before, and they still continue to provide the best-quality service. The hotel is situated in the quiet section of the GRA in Ikeja but not far from the boisterous activities in Ikeja. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast: both continental and African. I like the hotel because of the depth of security. There are several guests from across the globe, and we all feel at home. Room cleaning is daily unless you don’t require it. The gym is fantastic and well-outfitted with Technogym sport gear. There is a 24-hour power supply. The Wi-fi is okay but sometimes I got this notion that it slows down at certain periods of time during the day. As for the staff; they are the ones who made my stay. There is Mary, the manager; Ifunnaya, Getrude, Gabriel, Tayo and others. I do not think one can feel at ease in a hotel without the ultimate support of its staff. Those at The Sojourner by Genesis are cordial, and well-mannered. Overall, I highly recommend it.
