    Yorkdale Shopping Centre has been offering tonnes of options for shopping, dining, and entertainment to northern Toronto since 1964 with over 400,000 visitors every week. The gigantic interior offers 27-foot-high glass ceilings for plenty of natural light and retains the same attraction it did when it originally opened, at which time it was the largest mall of its type in the world. Though it no longer holds that title, it offers many upscale tenants including Tiffany & Co and Michael Kors. It's also the home of the first Apple Store in Canada.

    Yorkdale's food court offers several options for food while you shop, even offering an outdoor terrace area. It's about a 30-minute drive north of city centre.

    Dufferin Mall sits on the site of the historic Dufferin Park Racetrack from the early 20th century, offering over 120 shops and services spread over 567,000 square feet of space. Originally part of an estate, it became a racetrack in the early 1900s, which closed in the 1950s and re-opened as a shopping plaza in 1956. That plaza was enclosed in the 70s and became a mall. Today, it houses tonnes of stores from big box retail names to independent boutique outlets. The shops and stores are spread over 3 stories and the mall houses no fewer than 4 anchor tenants.

    Dufferin Mall is only 20 minutes west of city centre. It's in Toronto's Golden Horseshoe.
