What to see and do around St John's Square
St John's Square is the site of several annual public events, including the Rebellion Festival, which sees the town filled with punk rockers each summer. The many sidewalk cafes offer an outstanding viewpoint from which to watch the festivities while enjoying a bite to eat.
Public art installations also offer great photo opportunities, including the giant stainless-steel wave with its glass high-diver and glass droplets of water. The nearby fountains also offer fantastic concrete work and are works of art themselves. Overall, this is the public square that connects all of Blackpool.

Things to know about St John's Square
St John's Square is a central hub for the town, and the town is undergoing constant renewal and revitalisation. That means you'll need to be prepared for the possibility of road closures and construction as well as closures of some of the public areas. Many of the attractions here are historic, and the town asks that you give them the proper respect.
The square is largely flat, which means it's naturally disability accessible, though the cobbled paths can offer small difficulties to those with mobility concerns like wheelchairs. Usually, the square is bustling but peacefu, but during events, it can be very crowded, so be prepared.
