Even though Czechia is one of the younger countries in Europe, the area it occupies is one with a long and remarkable history. It once carried the name “Bohemia” – an identity which still resonates to this day, conjuring images of artistic, unconventional people. The country’s landscape lives up to this promise, showcasing striking mountain ranges, beautiful forests and cities boasting colourful combinations of architectural styles. 

The capital city, Prague, should be on the bucket list of every traveller heading to Europe. The attractive Old Town is packed with exceptional sights to see, as well as lively markets and a boisterous nightlife. The Christmas Markets, in particular, are worth braving a bit of cold weather for, and give you the opportunity to warm yourself up with some Czech beer and the country’s hearty cuisine.
