This is an interesting hotel filled with art right on the tourist part of the waterfront and across the road from the Te Papa museum. Parking was expensive.
Good location down town next to the bay. Valet parking for $50 a night. Plenty of snacks and drinks in the mini bar. Room was large with a tub to soak in and curtains to keep out the light.
Quirky hotel but it just did not hit the mark for me. Hotel is very dark inside in both corridors and rooms. My room was covered in mirrors and had no real work space in it with a desk. Breakfast was average. Did not think it was up to scratch with the other QT hotels I have stayed in
The hotel is nice, decently walkable with a range of food and drink options nearby. Room is nice, although not many outlets.
Unfortunately the service was a little lacking. Long wait times to get questions answered at the front desk or valet. Restaurants closing well in advance of the posted hours. It seems that in trying to create a vibe, the hotel has perhaps overlooked the fact that at its core this is a hotel hosting people from out of town.
LOVED that they had a Dyson hairdryer in the room! Overall space was small--not a lot of room to put luggage. Unique hotel with lovely art. Shower water leaked all over bathroom floor.
