This was our first and last time at W Toronto. We waited over 2 hours to get our room, without any accommodation excepting taking our luggage. Around 9 PM, the hotel lobby turned into a very noisy nightclub, which could be heard from our room located on the 7th floor, just a few steps from the lobby. People were strolling around and talking loudly in the hallway, and it felt like they were talking inside our room. The guests showed no respect for others, and the hotel was definitely not designed to accommodate a concept like that of the W Hotel. We had booked for 2 nights, and we decided to leave after the nightmare of the nightclub on the first night. It was impossible to get a refund for the second night, citing a non-refundable policy. It's a ridiculous policy that only cares about keeping your money, knowing well that their establishment is not focused on the comfort and tranquility of its guests. Also, frequent vibrations could be heard in the room (probably coming from the subway). Despite the courteous staff and beautiful decor, I will never return to their establishment.
