We stayed in three of the cabanas on the property which were lovely. Spacious, comfortable and clean with a full kitchen in each one. Pool was delightful and the dock convenient for getting picked up by boat. Staff was excellent.

People were great and cabin/rooms are nice, spacious, well equipped and priced within reason. Nice quite area away from main city and traffic. Unfortunately no swimming access to the ocean but they do have a great clean pool. Unfortunately a lot of weeds were coming to the shore and the aroma was not interesting. But overall a nice, small resort with an attentive staff. They included transportation to and from the airport. I’d go back!

We loved staying here! We enjoyed that it was a bit north of the main town so that it was quiet and peaceful, but very easy to get to. We used the bikes everyday - a huge bonus. It was also convenient to have pick up/drop off at the airport. We stayed in the main house and had a lovely time.

This is a beautiful, tropical property tucked away from the main road with its own pier and water access. The staff is great, always very helpful. I consider it an excellent value for the price and friends, who came to visit, who were staying at other properties, were really impressed with the whole set up. the only negative consideration is that the cabana that we stayed in was quite dark. I would recommend substituting the old fluorescent bulbs with new, brighter, LEDs. Otherwise, we could not be happier with our stay!

The property is located away from the bustle of downtown San Pedro. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with palms, hibiscus, ferns, and other tropical plants, creating a secluded feeling while on the property. The dock has a nice rest area with hammocks and benches. There are lounge chairs on the beach. Water is crystal clear. We stayed in the main building with a small porch with a partial sea view. The large living area consisted of a complete kitchen, dining area, and living area with cable TV. The bathroom had a nice large shower. The bedroom had ample storage for clothes and a safe. The staff are great. Laid back and very attentive. They made all the arrangements for our excursions while on the island. If we go back to Belize we would definitely stay there again.

Great place in January !!
Ben & staff always available for advice & setting up golf cart rental & private tours for snorkeling, diving, fishing, or visiting nearby islands. Free bikes on site was the best & it was fun getting around. Location is just north of San Pedro. Close enough to bike ride to (I’m 61 yrs old) yet feels far enough away to be away from it all. Eating favorites - Aji’s (walking distance), Estelle’s (near water taxi), and Caliente (lagoon side in town). Visit Secret Beach, the iguana refuge & use the hammocks on Ben’s private dock. Kayaks also available for free! Get bug spray on your way from airport as your prearranged taxi driver will stop there for food, drinks & necessities but Ben has most things covered. Rooms were great, comfy beds, hot shower, kitchen supplies. We didn’t use the pool (not big on sunning) & if you’re basing any of your decision on a hot & bubbly jacuzzi, talk to Ben. While we were there it was barely warm & jets were weak but we still got in from time to time after a long day out exploring. They have board games to borrow for rainy days & a dog named Jeff! Although there is not a bar on property, there is one right next door & many in walking distance (bike better!!) Almost all have happy hours so ask! No sense in “every hour is Hapoy hour” which means you’re paying full price :) Local beer is good & can be bought on draft in San Pedro airport & as low as $1.50 US during happy hour (or $2.50 normally). Would stay here again!! Thanks for everything, Ben ;)

We stayed at Cocotal for one week in November 2022 and had an amazing time! Would highly recommend the B-2 cabana, it was the perfect size for two and right on the beach - paradise. Would recommend renting a golf cart, the resort has bikes but it was nice to have the cart and know we could go anywhere on the island if we wanted. All the staff at Cocotal were amazingly friendly and helpful answering our many questions, helping us book a snorkel tour and picking us up from the airport (even though our flight came in early)! We would definitely recommend this place and hope to be back someday soon!

The staff was the kindest and quick to help. Loved the location out of town, but easy to use one of the complimentary bikes get into San Pedro. We liked walking north to the Tipsy Lobster for dinner too.

This was our second stay. The property is absolutely perfect. Each casita is well appointed with all that is needed for a lovely stay in Belize. We stayed in the studio on the beach. It was perfect to open the doors and feel the breeze while sitting on the front porch and seeing the ocean. The pool is small, but a fitting size for the resort. The beach is beach with little water access, as it is is most of San Pedro. I highly recommend!

Comfortable, clean place with a beautiful view
We absolutely loved our cabana. It was essentially a full 1 bedroom house, with a bathroom, kitchen, living room space, small dining table, and private patio on the beach. The pier made it extremely easy to get picked up for snorkeling and diving excursions. We rented a golf cart so it was easy to go into town about 15 minutes away. We also walked to dinners at restaurants down the beach 5-10 minutes away by foot. There wasn't a beach you would swim in here, but it is an ocean view. That didn't matter to us as we were doing scuba and snorkeling trips.

Ben was very gracious! He gave us suggestions on what to do. Jesus picked us up at the airport. He stopped at a grocery and gave us suggestions on what to buy. The one bedroom beach front casita that we stayed in was gorgeous!!! Overall a very relaxing visit at this resort.

Property was great. Beach cabin was very nice. Clean, friendly staff, pool and great beach area. Only problem was the sand flies!! Unbelievable number of bites and they itch like crazy. I think if they would rake and spray were the beach chairs are there would not be such a problem. We are still scratching and have been home 3 days. Again, the property is beautiful and was a great visit.
